I was reading an article that said the Texas GOP leadership was more moderate before but that changed this legislative session.
Still, the bill got all but 1 GOP vote and 7 Democrat votes (the latter of which I was surprised about).

Even though multiple states already have this , including mine, you still rarely see people walking around with guns out all willy nilly. I think stores and such can prohibit you from entering too
