Black is a race. What are you talking about. Black is a race. You can’t mention black or white community without making it about race. Black and white are specific races. You know this. Stop playing dumb.

I'm gonna cosign this 100%. I've seen this happen with physical abuse. My aunt (RIP) was abusing my cousin when I was a kid......he's about 5 years younger than me. Everybody knew about it.I went to their house and took him to stay at our house. When he went back to her house, she was beating him again. My parents said that social worker would be calling our house and asking about the situation...I told them if I picked up the phone i would tell the truth. Parents yelled at me talking all kinds of nonsense. Just like you said......they started talking about "they're going to take him out of the house,etc,etc,"

She was beating his ass with extension cords. They would go over to the house talk to her and "pray for her" and all types of irrelevant actions. Eventually he was taken out of the house temporarily.

I give less than a fukk about "shame" and other meaningless bullshyt, my family mishandled it .

I can only imagine how they'd be even more reluctant if it was sexual abuse. fukks the airs, what people will think and all that bullshyt....you've got to protect the children.

I found out about a situation with my mom side of the family in NY that we used to go visit when I was a kid and I got heated at my mom and them, long story short my aunts husband used to touch one of my cousin growing up they didnt do shyt about it and she ended up homeless, if I cross path with dude im beating the shyt out of him

What I hate about stories like what you wrote and the one I mentioned is that, relatives knew what was going on and didn't address the problem; didn't remove the child from the household to prevent further abuse, didn't report the abuser to authorities, didn't confront and threaten the abuser. Just put their heads down.

The first time I ever stood up to my father was over them trying to hide the abuse from social worker. It seemed to go against the "morals" and principles that they taught us.... to lie about the situation. and to not protect my cousin.

All my relatives know not to tell me anything like that because since that incident everybody knows that I'm not for the "grinning teeth" bullshyt. Anything involving abuse and I'm gonna address it right away. What the fukk do I look like sitting next to somebody at a family gathering knowing that they are abusing a kid...? smiling and grinning teeth? fukk that hypocrite bullshyt.
