Yup it's been fukk Red McCombs to this day. I swear I wanted to throw something at his ass when he came to speak at my high school graduation

Same here :pacspit:

His sorry ass was in Tom Benson's ear tryna convince him to move the Saints to San Antonio immediately after Katrina hit (since he was denied the chance to move the Vikings there, which is why he sold the team).

He was probably plotting to get involved in the Saints ownership had they made that move. :stopitslime:

 Oh, you should have thrown something at his ass: Some hands :birdman:

Roy Jones going back down to light heavy after winning the heavyweight title. Everything was set up for him at heavyweight. Fights with holyfield, tyson, rematch with james toney, chris byrd. some of those multimillion dollar fights that could have set him up financially and added on to his legacy. Instead went back down to fight Antonio Tarver burning off nearly 25 pounds in muscle.

within a span of 3 fights - he was done at the elite level
This right here :beli:

Roy probably would've been favored in those fights too against Holyfield, Byrd, Toney, etc

It sickens me the way Roy went out

Yeah and as much as I wanted San Antonio to have a NFL team I felt it would've been foul to take the Saints away from NO after Katrina like that

Didn't he have a garage sale or something along those lines when he sold the team? :mjlol:

Cheap-ass muhfukka :mjlol:

And Mike Tice was practically paid peanuts as Head Coach. :dead:

Yeah dude basically tried his best to sabatoge the franchise on his way out

Plus he was cheap as fukk when he owned the team. They stayed under the salary cap and he refused to spend money on the defense

I didn’t even his 2nd fight against Tarver live. I just remember I was watching basketball, and it was halftime and Barkley out of nowhere just blurts “Roy Jones just got knocked out.”

Who is to say he develops like he did in Toronto? NBA isn’t plug & play
Assuming you meant Orlando there

He had already shown all the ability. In Toronto he was taking tipoffs , running point, guarding every position and averaged 15 a game coming off the bench in his last season.

Maybe he doesn't average 30 playing alongside Vince but they woulda made finals runs in that era

he was avg 15 a game in toronto
literally next season he was like at 27

we got burned because there was no restricted free agency then

the NBA has shafted the Raptors a number of different times with league rule changes.

In the mid 1990s, the NBA added a rule that stated expansion teams would not be able to secure the first overall pick, even if they won the draft lottery (after the Magic secured Shaq and Webber in back to back drafts). This prevented the Raptors from drafting Iverson when they won the lottery in 1996.

Almost immediately after T-Mac left, the NBA's new CBA added restricted free agency, which would have helped the Raps keep T-Mac during their rise up the rankings.

In 2006, the NBA changed the high school eligibility rule, which prevented the Raptors from drafting Kevin Durant that year.

Toronto
Vince Carter going to his graduation.

Drew Brees passing his physical at Miami. (Nick Saban was the coach FYI)

Aaron Hernandez.... don't think you can save that one.
