I'm cool on Empire Strikes Back, but that's because i generally don't like Star Wars. Maybe swap Matrix OR star Trek 2 up in there...but that is the Holy Trinity of Sci-fi.

A month ago I kind of went on a Star Wars binge watching the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy and I couldn't get through the prequel trilogies because the special effects looked so fake. How effects from the late 70s/early 80s look better than effects from the early 2000s?!

The "real" thing will always look better than computer generated.. I don't care what graphics you got.. It ain't real life and it's not close..

It is mind-blowing how bad they aged.

The 4K rescans of the original trilogy on Disney plus are absolute masterpieces. The prequels look like videogame cutscenes...instantly aged. They're even more unwatchable in this era with our current tvs
