A month ago I kind of went on a Star Wars binge watching the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy and I couldn't get through the prequel trilogies because the special effects looked so fake. How effects from the late 70s/early 80s look better than effects from the early 2000s?!

It is mind-blowing how bad they aged.
The 4K rescans of the original trilogy on Disney plus are absolute masterpieces. The prequels look like videogame cutscenes...instantly aged. They're even more unwatchable in this era with our current tvs
The worst is Cgi fire. Like come on y’all couldn’t make an actual real fire. It looks so horribly fake and I’m not even one to care about those things most of the time.
