With a cast made up of 2 brits, 2 aussies and an austrian I guess Americans felt hurt. This thread sure sunk real quick for a movie barely 3 weeks old.
As for the movie it was much better than salvation which was the most important thing but for all their efforts I don't recall one action scene that rivaled the fight arnie had with the female terminator that led to the highway in T3 (I don't even need to mention the 1st two)
As for the casting it was off John, Kyle and Sarah were all miscast. John seemed to be cast for what he ends up becoming not for who he was which was lame given the trailer spoilt it for us.
I am not one to pile on but jai Courtney really needs to get some acting lessons, he wasn't offensively terrible for the most part but the scene in the hideout where he has a gun and John finds them + part where he finds out about his parentage were both very amateur. His screen presence just screams small time.
And lastly emilia Clarke as Sarah was just strange, okay so she's not all gijane like Linda was because she was raised by terminator and didn't go to the asylum ok but did Linda look in anyway 4'6or in anyway baby fat munchkin looking in T1? So why cast this chick? She barely looked older than young Kyle Reese
Ps good way to end the franchise because salvation left a bad taste but they really need to leave it alone now

I think they've run Terminator into the ground.. I rather go see Pixels or something instead.

6/10 movie....good action but the story was all over the place and the fact that they kind of erased the first two movies with the story of this one kind of pissed me off for some reason
Just saw this over the weekend. It was ok but could of been better and no where near the level of the first 2 flicks. After watching this, I had similar feelings after I watched Salvation and War of the Machines. Pretty much being all in the same tier to me. Hopefully this is the last one for a long time.

The casting was hella off though. I like The Mother of Dragons a lot, but her and Kyle had no chemistry on screen. They all let Arnold swag on them, in terms of acting...and he was the machine. The dualities of a robot's performance being more human than the humans.
That bus scene is one of the most ridiculous set pieces I've ever scene. Took me out of the movie for a sec. Like, how the fukk is this dude Kyle still alive after all of that?
The marketing for this movie was terrible. They should have never shown that shyt about John.

Reports say it made another 234 overseas but when I add the numbers up that i keep seeing it's not even a 100 million so I don't know what number to believe...
Hilarious that they released this around the time of China's "blackout"...so they won't be making much money there...

It did $27.4 million in its first day in China which means it is going to be a monster hit in China and already has passed $350 million worldwide.
It is looking like it will be the first film to be an outright flop in the US that gets a sequel solely based on international box office.
