i don't think i've ever seen that used to dodge a move...99% of players just do it to rush toward you and advance in the ring

That quick movement counter attacks against highs really well, as it's essenitally dodging them and crushing them with punishing counters, much like what Tyson does with his, which he also used it to advance towards boxers quickly.
