I don't think most casual players like vf. It's a lot more complicated than most fighters and the characters don't really have much charisma.

To me VF is more realistic fighting which is I love it. None of them have supernatural thou.

VF always had boring designs.. and you never really saw any of the character's personalities..

Yeah VF is adamant about not having endings, and casual players are really into endings. Without endings players don't connect with the characters. Beating Dural and not getting an ending feels like being cheated.

In terms of being complicated, I don't think VF is that complex. It is easier to learn than say TTT2, and it is more intuitive than DOA. The hardest thing about VF is open stance and closed stance combos, and the throw breaks. VF is a very fast paced game though, and that does take some getting used to, but anyone who uses VF characters in DOA can make an easy transition, since DOA is based on VF.

Put enough bells and whistles on VF and casuals would play more. Sega just needs to market it differently.

Virtua fighter got boring after 4. It feels like Time crisis same redundant boss for example Wild Dog and VF Dural. The best VF is 2. I Wish sega could have continued with Fighting Vipers.

All of the fighters last gen had two iterations, that people knew about.

Virtual Fighter came out in 2007 and I didn't even know about Final Showdown until you guys mentioned it here.

They had no marketing presence.

You know what, brehs? Im gonna learn Eddy this go round. I always thought his actual moves and combos looked sick but he's usually played by scrubs spamming the same shyt over again online. He won't be my main or nothing, but I will put some time in for a change
