Some of these characters will be released as DLC. If you play with Bruce they want you to buy the season pass.

They did Pokchop wrong for that.
The onion face producer was on twitter saying they wouldn't sell classic characters as DLC.

Yeah I am getting a little upset at every single game being loaded with a season pass. Getting lame.

Slightly off topic but on the subject of 3d fighters.....whens the next Virtua Fighter? :jbhmm:

No one wants to see a new VF more than me, but never is the likely answer to your question

Virtua Fighter 3 came out in 96. VF4 came out in 2001. VF5 came out in 2006. Normally they get released in 5 year intervals, but it's been 10 years. Sega said something about the market being over-saturated with fighting games but there something else going on. As bad as VF fans have it, at least some characters are in DOA5. Virtual-on fans can't even get a next gen VO game.

What's worse is every time I try to find people on VF5FS there is no one online. So I end up playing DOA5.

Seems like they were a victim of bad timing if they are basing their decision on VF5 sales. That was the dark era of FG's, genre was practically dead until SF4 came through and rejuvenated the FG market. More people are interested in these types of games nowadays, and prob would really appreciate VF. Oh well.

I got Operation Moongate on Saturn, VOOT on Dreamcast, and Marz on PS2, but I never copped any of the 360 re-releases. You got Force on 360?

On topic, is anyone copping that collectors edition? Not gonna lie, I like all the extras, I just don't feel like paying 150, when I know I am going to buy the season pass, and DLC characters & costumes.

Ain't got none of those breh. I was referring to VF5FS

No collectors edition cuz I never cop those. Once with Destiny, and I think that's it. I got Lars and Lee, I'm straight. Master Raven and Claudio will get a look, and every other character I messed with in previous Tekkens is already in aside from Bruce. There's no character they can add that I'd care about

Nah man, I got Final Showdown on PS3. I really wish it was more popular, VF is such a criminally underrated game.

My main is in the game, but I am surprised at the characters who made it so far, and the ones who didn't. I want to see Lei, Julia, and Zafina, but I have no idea what they are going to do. Bears being in the game over Lei and Julia is not cool to me. Same with Miguel. I'm also surprised there is no Mokujin. The only real work they need to do for him is make customization items. Michael Murray said the DLC characters are going to get people hype, so I am guessing they are either

A) More Street Fighter characters (Chun Li, Ryu, Bison/Dictator)
B) Soul Calibur characters
C) Tekken Revolution concept characters that didn't make it
D) Bandai anime characters; Motoko Kusanagi, Spike Spiegel, Gene Starwind, Ryo of Wildfire, Kazuma the Shell Bullet
E) The classic characters everyone expects in the game
F) Naruto characters

I totally agree with the bolded. its my favourite series by far, don't know how sales were but I'm surprised SEGA would just abandon it like that. they could've long since capitalized on the collab with DOA but instead we get more shytty Sonic games

and Michael Murray gonna say that regardless, but anything less than an OG like Lei AND another Street Fighter it ain't worth it

Yeah, if Sega flipped it, and put a few DOA characters in VF to drag over DOA players, that would have been hot. Playing those DOA character in a VF style with command reversals, instead of a hold system would have attracted a lot of players.

My issue with the DLC, is that in order to not get succumb to gimmicks a player is sort of obligated to download the DLC character just to know what they are dealing with. Adjusting to some new moves from an updated classic character is no big deal, but a completely new character I would get even if I wasn't going to use them, unless they were a trash character like Dr. B.

I don't think most casual players like vf. It's a lot more complicated than most fighters and the characters don't really have much charisma.
