happy now that a big chunk of the Tekken community got their mains back (Bruce ain't comingunless they re-tool him)

Negan, i'm neutral on. i stopped watching the Walking Dead midway through the season they introduced him in. nothing was going on to keep me interested after the season opener

Probably the most requested character to the Tekken devs. Ever since they said they were going to have a guest character, people been asking for him. If you type "kiryu tekken" in Twitter you'll see thousands of requests. Now multiple guest characters later, still nope.
They probably see the Yakuza franchise as too niche to be worth the time, despite the fan request.
I also have a feeling the update will come with a new tagline (like Light Resurrection or some shyt) Lei and Anna will be free with the update since they mentioned returning characters would be free, and the others in the paid season pass are all new or new versions of old characters (like Josie)
I'm happy with Lei coming back. He is the only staple character that represents Tekken 2, and for him not to be included in the game when people have been playing him for two decades was a travesty. I'm going to look forward to playing with Lei. I found it interesting that the crowd reaction for Lei was bigger than it was for Anna. I know everyone who mained Lei and had to give him up to learn someone else is going to be happy. Five form Kung-Fu rage drives are going to be pretty solid, since 3/5 of them are launchers and the other two wall splat. I can already think of at least 2 RD combos I want to test out.
I'm not surprised Anna came back. As long as both Devil Jin and Kazuya are in the same game the "clone" character argument isn't a good enough to justify her absence in the game. While I'm not a dedicated Anna player I know the character enough. Her armor move seems weak and RD doesn't seem to compliment her play style perhaps the damage will change my mind. Despite that, without any Ogres or Changs, Anna will have by far the best FC game out of any character, Miguel, Leo, and Nina don't even come close.
I stopped watching the Walking Dead after season 2. The show is boring to me, but clearly people are very excited about it. I don't know much about Negan, but he does strike me as more of an MK type character than a Tekken character. I expect the Noctis treatment; a weak base character with a few overpowered moves. There won't be any low parrying lows from his bat. Guest DLC is a great draw for casuals, but I have no motivation to learn a character in-depth who I don't expect to be in future games. I just need to know enough to punish them.

Maybe Sega is being Sega and refusing to let them use Kiryu. He would fit in Tekken perfectly and already has a move list and everything.
Sega should at least use their Virtual Fighter engine to give us a cross over of VF, Yakuza, Shenmue, Streets of Rage. I'd buy that in an instant

well, what i'm thinking for the season pass is that the other dlc characters will be Gigas/Josie'd version of old characters so some shyt like Robo Alex would be my guess over plain Roger/Alex.
you could be on to something with a Jurassic World tie in since season pass 1 had collabs with SquareEnix and SNK, and we're already seeing a tv show collab for season 2
