I usually just googled "proxy server list"

Yeah. I've had crap luck with that in the past the couple times I've looked. Never spent much time on it because it was easy to find a stream. But espn3/major network direct streams are always preferable to a third party re-cast. The problem is blackouts.

If I was able to watch local sports in cable tv quality or HD streaming quality cable would have been dropped 2 years ago.

I have HTPCs. Just need quality streams.

And following up on my last build. It's dead silent from 2' away. The ceiling fan is louder than the computer. It turned out great.

The iPhone 5 was underwhelming

Google Fiber anyone?

I think we need to talk about the whole DD vs Physical Media shyt again. Sony is now offering digital games on their store more than ever (the whole ps vita library is on there) with discounts.

Just take a look at the recent piff out there. Steam's big picture looks amazing, mark of the ninja is a GREAT download only game. Are you guys finally willing to accept that its coming faster than you realize? I see it, Jutt sees it, Newark sees it....

I wonder how the OUYA is doing, last I heard 50 distributors have already signed up to carry the thing. Would be nice to walk into Best Buy and pick one up.

WHAT'S NEXT?

AT&T and Time Warner want Google Fiber Kansas City deal too - SlashGear

Google ( as usual ) is leading the way with expanding high speed internet here, makes sense the more people that have speed internet the more there online, more ads there looking at = more money for google

att and time warner are already shook and google fiber has not even fully launched yet , am hoping a major east or west coast city picks it up and them all the other ones will follow like dominoes

tablet use is on the rise which is also good, although its not the most powerful device i like the fact that the amazon tablets are doing good ,puts more tablets in the average persons hand

i see digital print media becoming more popular, people rarely subscribe to newspaper or magazine anymore (they dont do it that much digitally neither) but i think it will catch on more especially once online subscriptions and magazines become cheaper but with that also has to come cheap tablets, i would like to see a big magazine company push like a magazine only super barebones tablet, like you would only use the tablet to receive there issues nothing more nothing less and its included in ur subscription fee

I think the next gen of consoles is going to take digital media to the next level too , MS will lead the way wit that ( unless sony combines with google , imagine google tv software standard on all ps4's??) either way more and more people are watchin tv shows and movies etc on dedicated devices like there consoles or boxees or rokus

Music is pretty much all digital now , yea i know ppl still buy cd's but if u notice now when people buy cd's even artist they say things like "you see I STILL buy cd's" phrases like that, there doing something from the past, online music subscription business are booming, spotify is become popular as shyt, king dot come is about to drop megabox which will be a killer too

all and all digital future is lookin good

The wars between social/search/adspace are entertaining to me.

Google manipulating seo for those who have + accounts (btw the typical google+ user is a single, male, engineer, and works in tech...which is great for you if you are match.com or clearsil...)

Facebook supressing search results which include youtube videos

Quickly approaching number 1 status for youtube search is "how to..." Which saavy business owners are saying "fukk a manual, or tech support; youtube will show them how"

LinkedIn killing monster slowly

Reputation monitors becoming more important than SEO even, depending on industry

People realizing pictures tied with a mini message sell a thousand times better than the best website ever (for example, showing your children and having an ad "why xxx insurance is important to me" being more effective than infinity testimonials)

Restaruants responding directly to complaints on twitter...and growing because of it.

Amazon merchants popping bottles when their feedback can work for all amazon sites world wide

My apartment complexes begging me to "check in" and "like" my building...rather than write a review.

Tablet users being more savy and having a signifigantly higher influence score than phone and definitely desktop users

Tablet and mobile use going up exponentially as age goes down, and wealth goes up (hello chicago...seattle...la...)

If you own a business its straight :mindblown: status but this is the real revolution. And not on some "facebook vs myspace" shyt...its the most radical change since bell adpoted yellow pages into its listings...
