How, in your opinion, should it have ended?

During the Civil War there were only 198 mutants left in the whole world, and most of them were already known without having to be registered. I think the X-Men even declared themselves Neutral.

The X-Men basically called BOTH sides out on their bullshyt. The SHRA was just a broader version of the Mutant Registration Act they been trying to pass since the 80s. They BEEN dealing with that bullshyt while the Avengers were too busy "respecting" their struggle to help them, but when Tony and Cap's squads were looking kinda light, the first thing they did is try to be buddy buddy with the X-men and they asked "Where were you when our children were being killed?:demonic: Where were you when our cities were burning?:rudy: Now you have Sentinels posted outside our house to keep us on a "camp" :mindblown:and you want us to fight for you to solve YOUR problems?!? :heh: Nah, we good... :sas2: ... hope YOU are :sas1: "

I never understood the treatment of mutants either. It may have to do with with mutants being born with powers making them not human and unrelatable I guess. On the other hand the majority of super heroes who aren't aliens were made by some sort of freak accident. The treatment of mutants has always been about their extinction though, which :mindblown: when there are literal gods flying around...

Mutants are basically "black people" in the MU. They go through the same type of problems The FF and Avengers "white people" go through but the mass public always looks at them as problems, walking disasters and "thugs"

At the bold: I always found that aspect of the X-Men very silly, especially considering there were actual black ppl in both the X-Men and the rest of the MU, both in the US and abroad. For the most part, that aspect, especially for many X-Men stories, wasn't touch much if at all.

I mean, its not a direct correlation as they are fictional characters with superpowers but the idea that they look, talk and act similar to everyone else but are considered different and are outcasted for it is an obvious connection.

Cyclops probably had Emma project Michael Jackson's "They Never Cared About Us" into Cap and Tony's head while they walked away.
