Brehs, I'm legit worried about the Steelers. I know we beat the Jets handily, but that first half was absolute trash. The Steelers have a solid middle-of-the-pack defense, and a good passing game. If we start the game against Pittsburgh like we did yesterday, we'll be down by at least 14 at the half.

Our starting center Velasco got injured last game and is now out for the year. Just read our starting LT was limping pretty bad today. Our secondary has uncharacteristically given up big plays this year. Ben has excelled in the no huddle during that little 3 game win streak yet they don't let him run it the majority of the time and we had yet we barely ran it in the 1st half against baltimore with 5 straight runs to start the game:snoop:

I don't see the game as a gimme for my squad:yeshrug:

Ooh, the Velasco thing is huge. I didn't know about that. Your o-line was just starting to gel, too. The starting LT would be bad too. A gimpy offensive line does not want to play our front seven. Between Wake, Starks, Wheeler, Vernon, and Ellerbe we have rushers for days. Although honestly, I don't think a lot of the sacks you've allowed have been on the line. It just seems like Ben gets taken down on a higher percentage of his hurries than most QBs this season, and Ben gets hurried a pretty average amount of the time. Am I wrong?

I still see your secondary as right in the middle. Not good, but not bad either. I hope Wallace finds the motivation to put up big numbers.

The sacks I believe are half ben/half o-line. Especially early in the season, guys would be coming through untouched. The line was starting to come together. Counting the browns and ravens game it's the 1st time in ben's career he hasn't been sacked for two straight games

its been a rough year for rookie DBs, just hoping at least one between Davis and Taylor pan out

Starks will have to walk because of pay, but im confident in Odrick playing more inside. Vernon-Big Paul-Odrick-Wake with Jordan and Shirley rotating in is still really good

I hate that we have to let Starks walk, he is dominant this year

i mean they might favor Starks over Paul, they are the same age and we could afford to extend him @ around 9 per. but they cant do both imo
I dont see us letting Paul Soliai walk. After all the bullshyt of franchising him and resigning him i doubt we eat that signing bonus like that

Hopefully Mike Wallace will wake up against his old team

If there's any game Mike Wallace really ought to ball out in, it's this one. I can't imagine his ego will let him put in a shytty performance against the team that refused to give him his payday.

fukk, we REALLY need this game. Steelers are essentially eliminated. Y'all need to lay down and stay down. If Le'Veon Bell comes in all motivated and runs all over us, I'm going to be furious.

What's sad is Starks should be getting more playing time but the dolphins don't wanna pay ala Reggie his last year with us

I'm on the fence about the Reggie thing. On the one hand, his age precludes any long-term investment. On the other hand, he's played at a high level when healthy this year. It would definitely be a different offense with him on it.

Brehs....how the fukk do you explain this offensive line?

32 sacks over the first seven games...and 16 sacks over the last six? How the fukk did we improve so much in pass protection after losing Martin and Incognito? :mindblown:

Brenner is looking like an absolute revelation at guard. I mean, for an undrafted free agent, an average starting o-lineman is huge.
