I'm not gonna put this on thill

He DID put us in a hole, but he also brought us back and put using the lead, late in the fourth.
Why we decided to throw it twice as many times as running the ball under 4 minutes has me scratching my head.
The play calling to finish this game and clabo mimicking a matador killed us

After 6 games here's my take on the team.

We all had concerns about the O-Line coming into the season but good lord it's significantly worse than anyone could have imagined. N we haven't faced that Bengals or Jets D line yet.......:to:

Tanny is ok. A little better than above average at this point but the O line is trash so he usually has to rush throws so it's hard to blame him when he fukks up.

Tanny and Wallace have ZERO timing and chemistry.

Mike Sherman is an AWFUL playcaller. Our play designs are unimaginative. Do we even try to create mismatches on the field because sometimes it does not seem so.

Clay actually is holding his own. He needs to be more involved in the offense.

Daniel Thomas for an supposed power back trips or goes down after first contact more than any RB I've ever seen

Our defense is good but it's not great. Somehow some way there is always a mental breakdown or someone does not keep their assignment and we give up a crucial big play.

Our LB's still can't cover TE's to save their life.

After a great season last year Reshad Jones has been inconsistent at best this year.

Yea Dion Jordan may not be a good run stopper yet but by damn you used a top 3 pick on the kid and the majority of the time he's in the game he gets pressure. Get him more snaps especially on passing downs.

Due to the horrendous O-line not being able consistently and effectively run or pass block gentleman we are looking at another 9-7, 8-8, 7-9 type season.

Yep I callled it, we lost too many solid players on D, I mean why dont we resign anybody? we lost Davis Dansby, Bush, who were all producing for no reason. and Tannehill is who we thought he was, an ok QB, but he is never going to light it up. He might as well be matt schaub

With this piece of shyt of offensive gameplan, playcalling, porous offensive line, you really can't get a proper evaluation of Tannehill.

I am sure that he would thrive in a different scheme and with better coaching.

Philbin & Sherman are too stubborn and will stick to their old ways/scheme no matter what and that will be their downfall

Tanny isn't great (he's ok but not every qb has to be elite for you to go to or win a sb) but I agree the bad O-line, awful run game and horrible play calling has hampered his development. The kid has talent. We've all seen it but he isn't being consistently being put in a position to win. I will say it again our play calling is unimaginative and vanilla. We do not try to create mismatches based upon our advantages offensively.

Thing is.. almost everything you wanna blame goes back to Ireland and his Oline

  • The offense is too predictable... because you are limited since your oline sucks
  • Tannehill cant take advantage of Mike Wallace's speed as a deep threat... because the oline doesnt give him enough time for routes to be ran
  • Lamar Miller sucks...mostly becaus ethis oline cant open holes

In some way I agree but I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here and tell you that there's no way Ireland could've expected Clabo to turn from a top 10 pass blocking tackle last year to the turnstile he is right now

John Jerry was good in pass protection last year.

Mike Pouncey is Mike Pouncey

Incognito had a good season last year.

Ireland's only real gamble was putting Martin at left tackle and not resigning Jake.

I am way more worried about the playcalling, offensive scheme/identity right now than the offensive line.

Teams know that Sherman refuses to run and as much as the blocking as been terrible, the fact that we're tipping off our every moves by having no balance on offense definitely doesn't help.

Sherman ran it right for 3 quarters yesterday. Balanced amount of successful run/pass plays, no sacks for 3 quarters.

Then in the fourth he decides to abandon the run, become one dimensional, predictive and ineffective.

He's been a terrible play caller his whole life, and we're gonna be stuck with him as long as Philbin is here, smh

hes at the end of his career, played well in the playoffs but hasnt been very good since about 2010 when he made the Pro Bowl

its an upgrade to Clabo, and now Martin's soft ass can get back to the right side
