That was before last game

They are average at best both Wilson and Carroll, I wish more from them but they aren what they are. They were forced to step up due to injuries.
I hope they start playing a little better but from what I've seen this year and last year they aren't great.

Wilson is a 7th round pick, was never expected to be great. I just don't see any reason to complain about Carroll's play at the moment since he's probably playing his best football right now. He was indeed forced to step up and that's exactly what he did.

I'm not suggesting he'll keep up this level of play all season but he's been a pleasant surprise so far.

Then again, if you can't tell who's covering who during games, I don't really expect you to notice it.

So we just signed Marvin Austin -- former Giants second rounder.

North Carolina DT Marvin Austin — Interviewed very poorly at the Combine, very selfishly throwing his college under the bus and refusing to take responsibility for any of the wrongdoings that led to his dismissal from the team. Has earned a reputation in the NFL scouting community as a “finger-pointing, excuse-making con artist” who does not know what it means to lead. Set a poor example and coasted way too much on his natural talent throughout college. Set back the UNC program by accepting improper gifts and was called “the ringleader” that led to investigations affecting the eligibility of 13 players.

Still, he has 2nd round talent. If Philbin can fix him, this might be a huge steal :manny:

Marvin Austin was a guy who coasted on potential his whole college career, hes athletic for his size but never does shyt. doubt he sticks

Soleil looks doubtful for Monday, Saints dont run much he wouldnt be in for more than 10 snaps. might as well get healthy. Patterson looks doubtful too another week of Carroll being on the field all game :snoop:

They were missing ppl, we were missing ppl. it happens. I don't think they were missing anyone more important than we were.(including our rookies in the secondary)

New Orleans will be alot tougher though, especially in their place in primetime. I would love to walk in their and get the W, but right now I'd be happy with keeping it a close game.

Yeah but solai and cam wake are players that teams prepare the whole week for.. When playmakers
:what:

He was ranked top 5 up until last game where he was one on one versus one of the best WR in the game. Dude has been playing good football I'm not sure what you're talking about

I'm gonna save this one ...I'm sorry burr we cool and all but that Niga is ass!!!!! He should have been cut 2 years ago after that week one against the pats where welker burnt him and that other dude that got cut...only reason he stayed on the roster is cause his pops is a state rep..

Dion Jordan emerging

Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake had a blistering start to the 2013 season, notching 2.5 sacks and 4 tackles in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. Week 2 facing the Colts he was more quietly disruptive and in Week 3 against the Falcons he had to leave the game with what is now reported as a mild MCL sprain. Wake hasn't been ruled out of Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints but a South Florida Sun-Sentinel report said that Wake will likely miss 2-3 weeks. The Pro Bowl pass rusher's shoes are not easily filled but the Dolphins showed they do have some depth on the defensive line.

Third year man Derrick Shelby and 2013 No. 3 overall pick Dion Jordan were the primary fill-ins in for Wake on Sunday. The Dolphins had problems containing the run overall but did a fairly good job in the pass rush. Jordan had his best game this season, finishing with four quarterback hurries, a quarterback hit and a plus grade for his run defense, according to ProFootballFocus.com. Jordan was drafted to be a star and the more early reps he gets, the more dangerous and deep the edge of the Dolphins line becomes.

Wake is not the only defensive player to have sustained an injury. DT Paul Soliai, cornerback Dimitri Patterson, and linebacker Koa Misi are all in question for Monday so it's not as if DE is the lone hole that can be exploited.

It will be interesting to see how Drew Brees does against the Dolphins this weekend. He's been sacked 10 times already this year, tied for 25th in the league. He's already thrown for over 1,000 yards and is completing nearly 64 percent of his passes. If the Dolphins rush is weakened, he and his receivers will be more likely to have big days. We'll keep an eye on Wake's status and look forward to how opposing quarterbacks do this week and in future weeks if Wake is out and Jordan has to step up.

Tannehill versus blitzing Saints D

Second-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill has led the Miami Dolphins to a 3-0 record, tied with the New England Patriots atop the AFC East. In the process, he has completed 66.4 percent of his passes. That's better than the completion rates of second-year stars Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson.

He's going to have an interesting test in Week 4, though, against the New Orleans Saints. New defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has quickly turned around a Saints defense that was historically bad last season, and they are sure to be overly aggressive in trying to get to Tannehill on Monday night.

After three games, Tannehill has proved to be quite successful when being blitzed, according to ESPN Stats & Information. He has thrown four touchdowns and zero interceptions, while posting a 75.4 QBR in those situations. He's only been sacked six percent of the time on blitzes, but opponents have only blitzed him on 34 percent of his dropbacks. The Saints attack often and successfully, though. Through their first three games, the Saints D has blitzed on 41 percent of dropbacks, while holding opposing QBs to two touchdowns, one interception and a QBR of just 41.6. They've also successfully sacked quarterbacks on 15 percent of their blitzes.

The Dolphins O-line has graded out positively by Pro Football Focus thus far, though they are a middle-of-the-pack 13th. They will have their hands full Monday night, as they try to keep Tannehill protected and able to get good passes off in the face of regular blitzes. Unfortunately, running backs Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas have been weak in pass protection as blockers, and they aren't the only Fins who can be beaten.

ESPN Dolphins reporter James Walker took a look at the five sacks Tannehill suffered against the Atlanta Falcons last week and felt there was plenty of blame to go around -- he charged one each to Tannehill and Thomas, while the O-line and TE Dion Sims took the blame for 1.5 each.

How well the Fins can keep the Saints' defensive attack at bay will be one of the keys to the outcome of Monday's game.

Kinda worried about this OLine vs Rob Ryan's defense tonight :lupe:
brehs this guy reggie bush :patrice:
Reggie is Reggie; He'll look great in one game and average in the next. I've never been a fan of the small speedy RunningBacks like Reggie and Marshall Faulk types. I prefer the Ricky Williams/Ray Rice types with a good mixture of speed and power. They tend to be more consistent at wearing out defenses. Then again Reggie is running behind a decent line up there in Detroit

I hear what you're saying, but Marshall was an exception IMO. That man was the truth.

:whoa:Oh dont get me wrong bro.

I am NOT and NEVER WOULD, in any way, question/doubt Marshall Faulk's accomplishments and greatness. I'm just saying I typically am not a fan of the smaller speedy backs because they dont always do as well in the NFL
