You can’t put hands on people kids under any circumstances. You know these situations come with the job.

This isn’t even a generational thing, I have stories for days about the crazy shyt that went down in school, from grade school and up. I’ve seen it all, including a situation just like this, and worse.

I remembered I got laid-off from a job I had at Merrill-Lynch, and my boy who was a teacher, suggested I substitute teach, I flirted with the thought of going the teacher route in College.
I gave it a try for about 4 months, Money was decent ($200 per day) but it was more about the experience, and if that was going to be my career path.

Maaaaaaaan. You gotta have patience, it’s mainly the parents and homes these kids come from that leads to the behavior problems, But you should know coming into the Job, this is a given. You can tell Dude was doing it for a quick buck and wasn’t suitable for the job. The minute he starts wiling, you leave and call Security, especially as an substitute.

Damn subs make 200 a day? I thought teachers didnt make no money:dahell:?
They doing pretty good and get 3 month vacations every year:pachaha:

If you can handle women you can handle children. They act out at first, but once they like you or respect you they cut the bullshyt. And its usually smooth selling from there.

Teachers aren’t gonna support him like that and neither would the average person. Again , they were both wrong .

Teacher has the higher responsibility placed on him for diffusing any tenuous matter with a child/student non violently .

And it also won’t be perceived well that he stole off first, despite being berated and hit in the leg with a basketball (and that IS assault), which many won’t consider adequate provocation .

However, I place the most onus on the school and its administrators . Apparently he had already been jumped by some kids... they know the type of population that they’re teaching , so adequate training, featuring deescualtion techniques and NCI Core techniques should have been mandatory for him and anyone teaching there.

I’ve done mentorship working with low income teens who had already been exposed to the criminal justice system with their cases resolved via deferred prosecution, and were nearly entirely disconnected and in the streets ... and at the very least, NCI Core was required before participation in the mentorship program began Because the population was that high risk.

He didn’t react as a professional, he reacted like any other Joe Blow who’d had enough and was trying maintain his dignity.

And that’s a huge problem for that school and its administrators... and ultimately the students and the preservation of a learning environment there.

Theres a bit of displacement and not holding the parents in this generation responsible. I hope this is a catalyst for some good. Sometimes you need an action like this to spark the conversatiin.

You mentioning all these extra tactics and foolery for teachers when the kids are the problem. Teachers don't need additional special training, they need kids who come to school looking to learn and not just coming because their parents can't babysit their bad asses .

Until the student pops you in your face, you gonna run out and call security ? You might as well leave the state at that point

Sucks but that's how it is You let one kid do that the others will smell the p*ssy in you. They don't care about the future circumstances

This was like 2009 in Jersey. It probably differs from state to state, but Teachers make pretty good money in Jersey.

It’s a shortage of teachers, so you can be fresh out of college, and find a 40-50 thousand a year position somewhere in Jersey with ease, especially if you’re a Black male. The Kicker is a lot of these young fresh out of college teachers ( a lot of them white females) don’t know how to handle these kids and can’t relate to the environment they come from.

Need both . Especially in impoverished community schools ... many are just not equipped for that kinda structure . Sad reality.

Corporal punishment wont fly legally in the States.
A teacher has to be able to remove permanently from class disruptive students and bullies. One feral kid cant be kept in a class and infect a couple dozen others.

In the near future classrooms will be manned by robots since no one will want the job.

Thats being passive....this lil latino kid needed to be smacked.... being the soft black man seems the norm these days. You can tell he wasn't raised right or has no father in his life. You couldn't talk reckless to a blk man back in the day without getting your teeth smacked out or your wig pushed back. nikkas nowadays is soft...letting their women run em, disrespected on all levels without no repercussions

i ain't sayin the kid was right...but i got 2 sons...and i don't give a fukk if one of em called ya momma a bytch..u hit my kid and i swear on my life i'm willin to go to jail tryin to kill u!...:francis:

u feel that strong about the kid...go to the principal and let them handle it...don't put ya hands on my kid especially if they didn't hit you first....its me and mines against the world at the end of the day.....

Stop the plea copping.... Crazy is crazy
No it's not. Words have different meanings. If I said Kendrick Lamar went crazy on the mic, does that mean I think hes mentally unstable. If you think it does then that's your problem. Everybody else understands words have a context
