It looks more like a storefront but given how expensive LA real estate is that's appropriate for the size. I guess maybe over time he can get a bigger space or try to sell it off.

I have supported him on things but he's just a man and not above criticism. I thought the museum was not needed at this point and very self-serving considering the fact that he said for years "what good is a museum if we got shot on the way there?" I think at times he put things out there overvaluing his reach and not realizing difficult it is.

Like he put it out there about the "fba march on washington" but then realized it takes all kinds permits and money to get that accomplished and he had to walk it back. He originally asked for 7 million total for crowdfunding for the museum project and he wanted to do a million at a time. No way is that property even worth that. I think he again he will realize how expensive it is to really get a museum off, but on the other hand given that size of that building he may be successful with it on a much smaller level.

Is there a video or a model of what he actually promised the final museum would look like?
I'm only aware of this:

Tariq needs to clean up his image or it’s gonna be damn near impossible for him to acquire artifacts. Most are donated or borrowed for a block of time. If he’s pushing the ADOS vs everybody narrative I can’t see a network of AA museums around the country/world willing to deal with him.
interestingly enough if you go onto the museum's website, the first image you see are tether african artifacts

"he not opening no museum"
*picks up goalpost"
"it too small"

just to compare, The Negro League Baseball Museum here in KC is basically 1 big room with things like plaques on the wall and structures/busts of people.

and here's a picture of the Black Archives of Mid America here in KC.

Looks like Tariq is off to a good start and the building looks presentable right out the gate. It's not an abandoned building.
