Tariq may not consider himself one, but I think he is a soldier of the intellectual variety, a scholar and rhetorician who has taken it upon himself to imbue the consciousness of diaspora with a greater awareness of the closing walls of white supremacy that surround us. I look at this video and see someone else. I'm not making any judgments on the music and its merit. I just would rather Tariq devote his energy elsewhere.
