comical, I had an even bigger laugh at the thought of blakking handing out with tariq.

"Janky" is always bound to happen when you deal with a novice promoter with no experience. Someone with Tariq's status level & acumen shouldn't have been doing business with a complete rookie like Lou in the first place, especially involving a important lecture of this magnitude.

Bullshyt. You have expectations, and how big do you think Tariq is? I'm not saying Lou don't have common sense but come on that shyt is just stupid to do at any level. Hell sad part is he was bragging about it after the fact it happened so he doesn't know that shyt was fukked up.
I'm not trying to alleviate or diminish Lou's overall sloppy handling of the event. But "Janky" is, what "Janky" does! Only an idiot would have real business "expectations" based on professionalism & knowledge from a person who has never done a show or a lecture before. You can't expect to lay down with a dog that you know is infested with fleas & then only get mad at the dog because you got bit. Tariq is also to blame because he never should have dealt with someone that wasn't an experienced promoter from the jump while expecting them to handle the event like a seasoned pro.
Tariq has a worldwide audience, is a best selling author along with one of the best selling black documentaries ever produced. So compared to Lou, who has no acclaim (outside of Tariq mentioning him) & is just a everyday Detroit native with no real background as a show promoter, anyone with brains should be able to tell there is obviously a large margin of expertise & savvy between the two individuals.

LISTEN, do not get caught up in one liners. What did the man's overall point say? This is all you are supposed to take from a dude like tariq. We've all heard the man's show numerous times. we know he clowns for a living. but he also tries to put people up on game for a living. The only reason you know who he is...is because he's clowning and making you laugh while calling you and others out for not being up to par. Stop getting caught up in your feelings "hey bruh dont clown me like that." STOP IT. Was he right about you? YEP. well then time to admit it and get better. its not that hard.
its not like Tariq told blakking to he needs to go to school for 4 years and take special classes on Promoter etiquette. its not like Tariq told dude he would need to pay 20k for these classes. he told the man, look bruh. all you have to do is be there early, dont try to give people wack venues to save a buck, make sure the dressing area/room is not all up on the stage or right where the people are so your guest can get ready and get their mind right before going on stage... just make sure the people are comfortable as they can be and make sure your guest is as comfortable and in the right headspace before he/she goes on.
What he told blakking was EASY to accomplish but would go a long way for blakking. If like they both said, they made some good doe off of what hey put together. he's half way there. all he needs to do is the rest and bam he has himself a Nice little Profession. Why would anyone get hung up on "but but he was clowning him though." STOP IT black folks. get the meat of the subject matter and leave that cotton candy nonsense alone.

cause he knew he wasnt on his Game. There is no way i'm putting forth my best foot and then copying pleas with tariq. Because i would have known. i did all i could do. now if he still had critiques. i would take those too because at the end of the day Tariq does this for a living. this is my first Match so to speak. let me learn from a black belt.
Get stuck on the nonsense and see how far you get in life.
and thats why tariq gave blakking and his wife props for the overall outcome. because he realized it was their first show. So in essence he's saying "well for your first show this aint bad really. But next time...its time to get right. here are the things you dont do, that you did at this first event." and he told that to the world for anyone that has been doing subpar shows but no one got at them about their subpar-ness. And for those like blakking and his lady who are just now starting up in the promoters business.
Tariq was trying to get blakking and his wife to be on that Tariq brand level.
if oprah blessed you with a visit on your TV show(assuming you just started in TV production). and she gave you pointers afterwards but clowned at the same time with jokes. Would you be mad at oprah? or would you take hear advice and laugh off the jokes? You do the former and you have just wasted a valuable resource in oprah. thats all i'm saying.

nikka You typed up all that bullshyt and you completely skipped over my one simple question
As I've mentioned previously, Tariq should have just addressed the situation briefly on the Ustream show & mentioned that even though their were issues that took place, the overall show ended on a good note.
The actual specifics & particulars in regards to what/what shouldn't have happened or Tariq's numerous grievances should have been handled between Lou & Tariq in person or over the phone in private, not on Ustream.
