I don’t agree with not voting, but Tariq’s stance is valid and legitimate

this idea that the world is gonna end if republicans win is false, black people are screwed no matter who wins

I'm glad everyone is engaged in the process of voting this election cycle, but moving forward people also need to look how to keep these representatives accountable.

I think these people really don't understand how politics is a lifestyle, its not something you just ignore once you vote.

Talking about being on "code" and "black economics" with out articulating what that means operationally and tactically is just smart dumb nikka babble IMO.

A discussion of "Black Economics" has to be more developed than "Get my latest DVD and I'll throw in my Mackish Package."

Tariq's idea of black economics is that Tulsa Real Estate Fund crook:russ:

Why doesn't he talk about how these other groups that are MORE successful than us use VOTING and donations to garner favorable policy objectives? Instead he says "don't vote."

So a politician is supposed to listen to a group of people who don't donate and don't vote? :mjlol:

Dumb motherfukkers will always be losers listening to this nikka:stopitslime:

Tariq does talk about business, he does talk about money to pay politicians being more important, that is what the word codified is referring to

The money issue is why I don’t have a problem with tariq’s stance, the issue is not whether black vote but whether black people are putting our money together to back certain candidates

I wish Adams and gillium the best of luck but they have not said what they will do specifically for black people. But on the other hand black people have not organized PACS to help black candidates that promote specific black issues

So until that’s straightened out actually it’s doesn’t matter wether black people vote

The Tulsa real estate fund is legit, we need 1000 of them, and then turn around and use that money to create pacs

If the Breakfast Club had him on the show again and played the clip of him saying that white women and Black men were more oppressed than Black women it would be a wrap for him:

:camby:Enough of this guy. Get him outta here. It’s beyond obvious that he’s on the payroll, which is why he continues to poison our people’s minds with this “no vote”, “they’re both the same” bullshyt.

He’s made a ton of money peddling this shyt.

How is that BS? Black wealth as a % of total wealth is the same today as it was in 1950, when most of us couldn't vote. What does that say about voting's effectiveness so far?

If Tariq was serious and not just talking out of his ass. He would be putting together PAC's (or identifying PAC's to donate to) , identifying candidates to challenge in their primary elections, and fielding NEW candidates who would be responsive to our needs.

But that will be complicated and require some actual action instead of just sitting on your ass talking on YouTube and tweeting.

The correct response is not to sit on your ass til a politician comes begging you to vote for them. It's to primary those politicians that aren't responsive to your demands.
