I said it in another thread. This isn’t the 90s when Target was full of white women working. This boycott was wrong and will hurt black families way before Target.
You’re going to have to explain what Trump anti DEI policies for the federal government has to do with Target?

My thing is going to Wal-Mart as an alternative is even goofier and even worse
Who said anything about Walmart?

I guess your forgot about Giant, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Aldi, Idil (or however you spell it), Wholefood, Harris Teeter, Fedex, UPS, Marchalls, TJ Maxx etc etc.

Not to mention plenty of local businesses.

What makes them racist?

What makes the other stores you shop @ not racist?

What makes your employer not racist?
They specifically pulled the products of many black business owners once they dropped their DEI.

Once again, they specifically targeted Black owned businesses.

The store I shop at didn't target black owned businesses and my employer is a black man.

WHERE'S THE SMOKE FOR WAL-MART! THEY WERE ONE OF THE FIRST ONES TO ELIMINATE THEIR DEI PROGRAM AND FUNDING! :what:
I did. They are Target's direct competition

To cherry pick Target and still frequent the others you listed makes no sense

Blk aren't even the people who are benefiting for DEI sir. Like stop, you're just talking.
Alright, I see what this is.

Exactly why I don't argue with women. Only right perspective is y'all perspective.

You not even trying to understand my point because you so dug in on yours. I'm Not even disagreeing completely with you. And black people not benefiting from DEI is 100% FALSE. We may not be the biggest beneficiaries of it, but we benefitted.

In late 2024 and early 2025, Walmart, along with other companies, began rolling back or scaling back its DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, including ending supplier diversity programs, stopping racial equity training

Walmart also said it wouldn’t renew a racial equity center that was established through a five-year, $100 million philanthropic commitment from the company with a mandate to, according to its website, “address the root causes of gaps in outcomes experienced by Black and African American people in education, health, finance and criminal justice systems.”

Sounds like they are doing exactly what Target did and worse.

Just pointing out because you seem to be really about not giving these folks money, but go ahead and cross Whole Foods off the list. They're owned by Amazon, unfortunately.

If you study our history, the argument we should do nothing is lame. No, we can't boycott everything at once, but making a dent in Target's sales does send a message and it could turn the tide for another corporation. Sitting around and saying we're powerless is such a defeatist and cowardly way to live. Our ancestors couldn't boycott everything either, but I'm glad they did boycott when they could because it did change policies.
