If you study our history, the argument we should do nothing is lame. No, we can't boycott everything at once, but making a dent in Target's sales does send a message and it could turn the tide for another corporation. Sitting around and saying we're powerless is such a defeatist and cowardly way to live. Our ancestors couldn't boycott everything either, but I'm glad they did boycott when they could because it did change policies.

Yep.

Yet brehs like @Rekkapryde on some ”if you ain’t boycotting the entire fukking UNIVERSE, then what’s the point?

“why the fukk you breathing that air, a white racist probably once breathed those same molecules.” ass brehs

The point is to start somewhere with something. To concentrate, to focus, strategize. Brehs don’t have no type of fukking strategy.

They specifically pulled the products of many black business owners once they dropped their DEI.

Once again, they specifically targeted Black owned businesses.

The store I shop at didn't target black owned businesses and my employer is a black man.
Where they underperforming products? Did you buy those products?

Were these products you used and purchased frequently from Target?

Does the store you shop carry the products Target stopped carrying or picked them up?

that's not what I'm saying at all. :snoop:

my point is Target deserves the smoke and boycott, but don't run to mufukkin places like Walmart who are WORSE than Target in their anti-DEI measures.

there's no way to completely avoid all of these Anti-DEI companies. that's a fact. But gotdamn don't go from Nazis to the KKK. :why:

I'm of the opinion that a little bit of both things are true. It's absolutely correct that even something as slight as reducing your spending at a place like Target to only emergency/can't get it anywhere else situations makes sense, especially since some people live in areas where they don't have the luxury of having a multitude of options available to them.

But at the same time, effectively boycotting matters too. No use in not giving your money to one company that's on some bullshyt just to give it another one that's even worse if you can avoid it.

folks should be reducing their spending in general and shift to minimalism to make it through this storm. And pretty much since all these companies are run by racist at least aim to purchase from folks with at least enough common sense not to do overt shyt lol

Y'all act like the jobs Black folks have at Target are niche and hard to find. Those jobs are a dime a dozen and those skills are transferable. We don't have to support a company to feed the hypothetical Black folks who may be fired. And we never come up with this many tired excuses when we critique Black businesses. Those Black Target workers will be alright.
don get me wrong, withhold your money. Just having worked in retail myself, I know how shyt goes when them earnings get funny. Hours get cut. I havent bought from Target since myself.

Plenty of $17/hour jobs out there.

People making $15-$25 per hour have infinite job opportunities.

It’s the rest of us that really need our jobs.
But yall call me a maga white supremacist

That’s right, fukk the guttersnipes, sis

You take so much pride in a damn superstore destroying the mom and pop stores that we had in our communities before they put the Walmarts there :smh:

fukk them indians and Arabs that owned everything. You don’t own shyt and neither did your moms and pop. I’m sure them Indians just moved to a place where Walmart wasn’t at.

What kind of ignorant shiit is this. Black folks did own corner store and pharmacys and shiit And the GIANT corps crushed them. Yes now most of these stores are owned by foreignors but that wasn't always the case.

I’m almost 40. It’s been the case almost my entire life. I’m from the south side of Chicago. I spent almost 30 years there. Chicago always pushed back on Walmart and limited them. I don’t know a time where black folks were pushed out by Walmart. I did see a documentary when I was younger that showed how Walmart would crush WHITE businesses in rural areas when they showed up.

My uncle moved to Indiana 30 years ago. Into a black neighborhood. With record stores, barber shops, all types of shyt. None of them stores closed when Walmart came. They closed when the internet took off.

The shyt you saying isn’t real.
