Plenty are out there, however these Black actors, actresses and commentators wont champion them as the highest standard of award as they're desperate for acknowledgement from a white committee who are the ones voting.

Wasn't disputing who made it, just saying these awards are made to represent the highest quality of filmmaking, doesn't have anything to do with skin color, the last two Oscar winners were black and Hispanic, plenty of non whites have won Emmys and Oscars. If you're a director, you want an Oscar, period.

It's up to Black actors, actresses and commentators to make them "prestigious" by holding them up to be the highest achievement for a Black actor, actress, writer etc ahead of these white awards(that have white voters). But they won't and that's the problem. Instead they'll just complain about being overlooked by a white committee .

These awards are for white people. The audience is white, the platform is white, the nominees are predominately white and most importantly the voting committee are white. But I guess a few anomalies mean they aren't .
