Storyline was paper thin, characters lacked depth and motivation.
No resolution or reasoning for much of anything, and the action scenes weren’t compelling.

Saw 'Mom and Dad' last night with Selma Blair and Nicholas Cage, and would highly recommend. It's not really a horror/thriller rather a black comedy/horror. I liked it though.

Mostly because the storyline and overall writing was garbo. The main actors (Taraji, her bf in the movie) did the best they could. It didn't help that it was low budget, either. The kid was annoying as fukk and my date wished they'd put a bullet in his head
