You know what- you got it.

I want to see this same fervor now that Trump is back and Republicans have the House and Senate. I want to see the same discussions from Traiq, et al.

They not. Tariq n them will be "see???? You need to ABUSE power to get what you want!!!"

The point is, Democrats aren’t attempting to strip away whatever progress has been made, thus far. Republicans are making it clear they want us to be the dregs of society by rolling back policies that helped African Americans achieve a better life and experience in this nation.

Democrat politicians weren’t fighting Affirmative Action. They didn’t want DEI initiatives to end. They weren’t threatening to take funding away from institutions of higher learning that have diversity programs.

Maybe some things didn’t move fast enough, but there wasn’t the REGRESSION that we are about to experience. THAT is the fukking point.

These cacs bout to give police across this county immunity, when Kamala Harris wanted to give ppl money for a down payment and money to start a business. PLUS she agreed that reparations are owed. :deadrose:
See the issue is a lot of you like to argue two different things. Saying all non blacks are under, benefit, and facilitate white supremacy isn’t saying they’re exactly the same or use the same strategies in order to do so. So listing some of their differences when the ultimate goal is the same, is moot :manny:

Why you and others are stuck on Trump, you do there will be more politicians running for 2028, 2032, 2036, 2040 etc. As these years come forward that reparations talk will continue getting louder and louder.

Yall acting like folks think Trump is gonna do x y and z, I do tell you this though, whoever that's running on the Dems side will need to speak loud on reparations and make it known to that crowd that it will get done

People separate by party because the issue is only brought up to Democrat candidates because they know Republicans would tell them to get the fukk out of their face..

The Truth: It was an anti-dem talking point. Ask Republicans for nothing, ask Dems for the largest single windfall in history for a people...and triple down on said request when its clear white supremacy is creeping its ugly head out thanks to Obama's election.

No, they literally don’t. That’s what you’re missing.

We are 12-14% of the population. They have to appeal to whites, Latinos and Asians aaaaand us. Reparations being on the docket isn’t what is going to push them over the edge.

Now, do we deserve it, YES, but putting a fist in the air saying “reparations for African Americans” isn’t going to make all those other groups vote that candidate. It might actually make them not vote for them.

Not to mention Kamala already talked about reparations and Tariq and them claimed she wasn’t real. So let’s talk to the next administration about reparations 🤷🏾‍♀️

Nah, thats easy. Are they going to be going to townhalls taking politicians to task about it?

Putting on a website "President Trump MUST" doesn't move the needle. There were literally folks going to Democratic candidates, typically black, asking them about Reparations. If you need videos and articles, I can pull some, but they need that same energy. If you whisper for the next two years and scream when it comes time to elect in the midterms, you are rightfully ignored.

Read the fukking room. Pay attention to the trends.

Remember all that bullshyt talk about it's only old white people who are on that time and once they die out, it should get better? Ok, tell me why the right actually gained gen z votes in 2024?

The left was so confident that white women in right leaning households would vote against their husbands because their rights were being stripped away... turns out white women care more about that house with their two kids, the picket fence and dog than them or other women being able to choose what to do with their bodies... so now they'll raise their kids just like them and the cycle continues... now which of these generations(because we're gonna need them to be sympathetic to our cause if we're gonna have any real shot at reparations), do you think is gonna vote for reparations for black people? What time frame do you think this will realistically play out in?

We actually further divided ourselves(for all the wrong reasons) over imaginary money that was never promised to us.

I feel like i'm taking crazy pills with some black people around me who just regurgitate what they hear other people say(this is not directed at you), but have no idea how the real world works, so they form unrealistic childish views and expectations and attack you if you try to challenge them with actual facts and historical precedence.

I'm almost at the point where i'm ready to completely give up because it's fukking exhausting trying to get people to think and formulate their own thoughts and come to their own conclusions when presented with legit information. It's like people are too lazy to even think for themselves, and that's extremely dangerous because if you don't occupy your own mind, other entities will.

Ok.Kool.

Those folks won't stop talking about reparations. It's out there and growing legs.

Imo, the dems won't win another presidential election if they won't speak loudly on it.

That whole move on without getting black vote is wack. That play would have been put in place. That play has already been thought of and didn't work.

I get what you're saying and I don't know what to tell you.

It's all messed up. Black folks want what they want and they are now on some, we not voting until we get it. I don't blame us for understanding the game now.

Checking out and giving up may be a good option.

:francis:Yea, man. We had a crazy number of Hispanics who once voted against Trump go for him this time. Same with Muslims. And white people did what they did. Reparations, on a national scale, is DEAD. Reparations on a local level is on life support:

Good info above. Now what they are up against:

A great, popular LOCAL program is being challenged by out-of-state conservatives. Folks keep trying to push this square peg into a round hole while nationwide we keep getting told that shyt ain't wavy for everyone else. Our history being erased from schools, our hiring practices being scrutinized for trying to include qualified black candidates via DEI initiatives...bruh. Unless we suddenly have 15 million more black people in this country, we don't have the gravitas to pull off what some folks are absolutely holding firm to. Instead of coming together and making moves, there is a contingent ready to poo-poo anyone who doesn't support Reparations, even on the local level.

I’m not saying move on without the Black vote.

And they didn’t lose just because of us. They lost because they didn’t appeal to enough Whites and Latinos.
