Y'all fail to understand that boasting about being owed reps doesn't matter; if they don't wanna give it to you, then they're not gonna give it to you; it's pretty simple as that.

Emotionally grandstanding and going on a moral, yet understandable, tirade about being owed Reparations, among other things isn't gonna make them change their mind...

Unless you believe there's a large segment of white people nationwide in droves who'll succumb to guilt of their ancestors', elders', or modern-day peers, actions and support Reparations, which is naive because even non-racist white people have mentally compartmentalized themselves to be indifferent to the idea of certain shyt that involves racism, not just verbally and physically, but systematically and financially as well.

This is all that it comes down to, so If they're not interested, then they're not interested. Unless you're willing to resort to drastic measures to get a point across that may involve actions that'll either put you in a jail cell, a hospital bed, or a permanent stay at the cemetery, there's nothing else that can be done.

Threatening politicians with no votes amounts to little to nothing as they'll just move on to somewhere or someone else, and you'll still come out with nothing; as we see, the results of this election pretty much put a temporary end to proposed race-specific policies and benefits for these next four years and possibly onwards.

A lot of this is just an emotionally driven discussion that makes for good conversation, but in reality, it's not based on the realism surrounding these issues. People will twist it and make it seem like you're against Reps when, in reality, you're just smart enough to know what's real and what ain't.

Because they DO NOT CARE to fully do right by us. They know that white folks will burn the place to the ground if they cut the check.

I’m not saying that they shouldn’t, and I’m not saying we aren’t deserving. I’m saying we have to continue fighting on all fronts and making whatever strides we continue to make while understanding that the ultimate thing (reparations) ain’t coming in our lifetime.

Because Trump is about to be in we literally have major corporations and universities announcing the end of diversity training, DEI, fighting/ending Affirmative Action, trying to clear out govt jobs (which is code for get all those nikkas out of those federal jobs in the dc area).

I mean, the Supreme Court? The lower courts?
He literally packed the benches in his last term, wtf folks think is about to happen in 2025?? We are further away from what we want with Trump in office than we would’ve been with Harris in office.

We are entering into the era of having to get serious about our economic future as an individual group because the ppl in power literally want to strip us of whatever we have fought for.

This red wave isn’t a problem for democrat politicians; they and their families already set. It’s a problem for US, the everyday Americans who don’t have money and connections.

Nobody wants to pay their large debt.
I never met anyone who was driven to pay on a huge debt. Hell I don't at time slow drag my ass on paying debt

Most people you have to keep saying you owe them to get them to pay you.

If you knew someone owed you money, a large sum, would you let it go??

If someone owed you a large amount of money, would you have this same attitude approach??

Better yet, give me all what's in your savings, retirement, etc, let me borrow that shyt. I want to build something and have that same attitude when trying to get your money from me

I hate folks who wanna dictate how others should act but when the shyt becomes their reality they wouldn't use that same logic they cast on others to use when it comes to asking for what's owed them.

Let me borrow everything that's in your savings and 401k, and I want you to have this same energy when it comes to paying yo ass back.

Give me this same defeated mindset when asking for your money back

Move on to who?? Lol.

Them folks need them black folks vote. Haven't won a race without the black vote.

Until you or them prove that they can win without black folks, then your statement makes sense. Until then, that statement is a false statement

They would have been moved on if they knew they could win without thr black vote or the crowd who wants something for their vote

You ain't the 1st person to have that thought about not worrying about that block of voters. Trust me.

They been tried moving on but they cant

Know your history

What the hell you think benign neglect is

Black folks was burning shyt and demanding shyt at the time and the whites needed something to do to combat that action so they said we will tell them what they wanna hear and not give them shyt, dilute the resources by saying minority and other terms but not black folks

Now that play don't work and these folks stuck.

Back then they had the same thoughts, let's just move on, we don't need them until they found out that they do need them

you are waaaaayyyy behind if youre thinking about reparations.

the country is broke and deep in debt...
its not going to happen

not even sure how reparations is even a talking point
The Truth: It was an anti-dem talking point. Ask Republicans for nothing, ask Dems for the largest single windfall in history for a people...and triple down on said request when its clear white supremacy is creeping its ugly head out thanks to Obama's election.

It lets people say they are principled and won't "Blindly vote" as they pretend absolutely no good can come from a Democratic presidency. Let the ACA get rolled back and see a whole shyt ton of black people suddenly not be able to get insurance (pre-existing conditions), get tossed off (parents insurance until 26), and the return of junk plans (that cover nothing) and folks will learn.

Yes, the majority of eligible black voters voted Democrat. We also need to confront the overall low black voter turnout that may only want to turn out when shyt hits the fan in the near future. Gotta be consistent especially on the local level which sees even worse turnout.

People separate by party because the issue is only brought up to Democrat candidates because they know Republicans would tell them to get the fukk out of their face..
That’s not what I asked though. If it’s a white supremacist nation, wouldn’t that include every non black and party wouldn’t necessarily matter, correct? We know republicans wouldn’t give anything as they are open white supremacists, and we saw the same in California with democrats. If it’s a white supremacist nation and non blacks benefit from it, it would extend across all party lines. That’s undeniable

You know what- you got it.

I want to see this same fervor now that Trump is back and Republicans have the House and Senate. I want to see the same discussions from Traiq, et al.

The point is, Democrats aren’t attempting to strip away whatever progress has been made, thus far. Republicans are making it clear they want us to be the dregs of society by rolling back policies that helped African Americans achieve a better life and experience in this nation.

Democrat politicians weren’t fighting Affirmative Action. They didn’t want DEI initiatives to end. They weren’t threatening to take funding away from institutions of higher learning that have diversity programs.

Maybe some things didn’t move fast enough, but there wasn’t the REGRESSION that we are about to experience. THAT is the fukking point.

These cacs bout to give police across this county immunity, when Kamala Harris wanted to give ppl money for a down payment and money to start a business. PLUS she agreed that reparations are owed. :deadrose:
