My homeboy and his girl do this constantly. One time I asked him straight up 'wtf is so interesting on your phone that you can't have an in person conversation'. This mf was like 'oh I was just googling something you just said' .

I haven't really had that happen recently so much but ya it's annoying. I don't really do that cuz what if they are really trying to tell me some dramatic shyt and I give a standard generic answer? lol

People today just have a really short attention span. That ADHD is serious.

If you're able to have a face-to-face conversation with someone who isn't on their phone and isn't constantly looking around (basically someone who avoids eye contact) then that person is a keeper.

I went to dinner once and saw this couple come in and once they say down, they were on their phones for the entiiiiire time. Like if it wasn't a phone call, they checking this or that. I was the whole time. What really pushed it over the edge when they got up, ol boy was like "I really enjoyed this, I hope I get to see you later on in the week" Big hug and kiss and they bounced....while looking in their phones
