you mean the same way Drake has fallen off since 2013 according to The Coli? :laff:

Rocky just dropped a video days ago and is already racking up millions of views with zero promotion. How long will it take for you nikkas to figure out that dude is already legendary for his generation?
That's a long way from a couple years ago when ASAP was supposed to have next. Now he gets ZERO promotion. That's says a lot when he was just getting radio burn not to long ago. Sounds like he's on his way out and you sound like someone who gets all his hip hop info from the net. Nobody outside the net gives af about ASAP. He shouldn't even be mentioned along the likes of Kendrick and J Cole when it comes to this generations stars

cool story, b. I'm looking forward to you making this exact same comment in 2018, 2020, 2022.

As long as Rocky keeps dropping great music from time to time, he'll be fine. His music will last a lot longer than Cole's and Kendrick's. That much I can promise you.

Rocky doesn't make casual/pop rap music like the other two. His base is rock solid.

lot of these youngins got a Keef and A$AP's DNA in their music and look.
personally i would't deem any of them legends bit looking at it objectively thats who i see getting put on that mantle by the next gen in the future.

:yeshrug:
No they wont. Neither one of these dudes put out anything close to resembling classic music. I kno firsthand what these kids are listening to. I have a 17 year old son and a couple years ago he was on Keef's nuts but has since thrown him in the bushes. And he always thought ASAP was corny. A nikka like Future has a much better chance and being considered a legend than those two

You're so off base it's not even funny.

Your son is 17. Do you really think he has any fukking idea what's gonna last when it comes to hip hop or any kind of music in general? I had better music tastes than most 17 year olds when I was 17 and I still didn't know shyt about hip hop. You start knowing yourself and developing a personality when you get into your 20s and after.

And stuff you may have thought was corny when you're young all of a sudden becomes :whew: to you. Because now you're old and informed enough to see and appreciate the nuances.

I guarantee that when the smoke clears, Rocky is the going to be the guy people celebrate. And then people will pretend they were always into him. Initially, most people can't get behind stuff that's creative and weird. Artists can, but the average person doesn't get it. Then years later, average people start to see that person build an artistic legacy, and they start to get it. It's always like that.

there is doubt Future will be considered a legend...won't effect Keef or Rocky's chances either.
like i said theres is only 3 that looks like its being cemented in stone. the rest is guesswork, and going by how they influence the new rappers coming out, i threw Keef and Rocky in there.

if they're not, they're not...we won't have any say in it.

and to be fair to Rocky, Live.Love.A$AP is up there as anything you could consider classing in this generation.
especially when putting it next to future legend J Cole's music.

I think your way off base. Anybody will tell you that as a teen is when you are most impressionable. The music that comes out in those years are part of your memories. Why do you think so many of us older heads still hold onto what came out in the 90s so much? Theres only a couple rappers from that era whose legends have grown since than and they are both dead. And tbh theres absolutely nothing that I thought was corny back than that I don't now. In fact theres a lot of shyt that I used to like that now I look back as an adult I think was corny

If you really think Rocky's music will last longer than Kendrick's and Cole's you must be the ultimate male groupie:mjlol:
I could turn on the radio right now and still might hear Swimming Pools or Work Out. I give you credit for your dedication tho

That's why I separate old heads into two groups. The ones that actually know why the 90s was dope and the ones who just like the 90s because they're followers and that's what they grew up on.

They're not the same group of people.

Nostalgia has very little to do with the albums I love from the 90s. The shyt is just great music. Great music lasts a long time. And there's stuff from the 90s that's wack that will die out with its generation.

:mjlol: at bringing up radio. All these years and you still don't understand that the greatest hip hop has never been on the radio like that.

But I applaud your generic and limited tastes :salute:

Time will tell who's right on Rocky :sas2:

Please tell me one rapper whose considered a legend by the consensus that didn't get radio play. Im not saying that helps define greatness but even Rakim has a ton of radio classics. Rocky had a huge single out a couple years ago. Now he gets NO promotion. Legends progress not regress
