nikka ain’t nobody was bumpin no damn Nipsey Hussle everywhere. The nikkas I named were bumped everywhere. None of the other people u named share that same clout. Dolph prolly the closest. Remember me and u live in the same city. I don’t know what u be hearing tho.
Nipsey was big in his market just like Dolph was big in his even if you ain’t listen to them you knew of them they was the culture the person I was speaking to downplayed how important to the culture the guys who died were.

I hear what nikkas in my generation demographic listen to Kendrick isn’t being bumped like that and isn’t a strong urban artist anymore ever since 2015 when he himself said “LA we got work to do my city only bought so and so copies of my album”

Most these lil nikkas coming up today bump straight drill truthfully and mainstream street rap they ain’t listening to Drake, and Cole, and Kendrick like that

just look at the direction of black youth and what we identify with. yes crime happened prior to rap......but we also now have the internet and yet our people are still gravitating to the same nonsense. and we dominate in violent crime. I dont know how people can ignore the implications that has on the psyche of people.

so in the face of people who see dead bodies everyday, who live crime, eat crime, job is to pinpoint why a crime happened and they say it's a bigger problem. not only that but the stats are what they are and if anything the homicide rate has gone down and up so you can't really see a specific trend that correlates to anything. so i should believe who.... you? lol
but i just wanted to post those clips about hip hop as it relates to Takeoff's demise.... not going to go off in this thread with banter. that can be done in the other weekly threads about it.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Many years ago, 2010, I was playing spades in the projects, one of my boys and his cousin and his cousin's girl. And me and the girl got real crazy with the wordplay, my boy had to diffuse me and his cousin from turning it into something else...

I've been on cell blocks where shyt goes left over gambling on anything, dudes get jumped or cut or robbed, all that...

I don't know if you assumed I wasn't aware of this, but I already know these situations can get hectic really fast. Extremely, extremely rare for a dust up about monopoly money and Uno to end in homicide, it doesnt happen to any measurable degree...

But it isn't rare for dice games to turn violent which is the topic that poster and I were talking about...
I understand bro. I’m just saying anything where money is involved can go left quick. Monopoly and Uno ain’t games where money is usually involved. Most Dice games end violent of a salty nikka losing money or some shyt. Spades one of the few games I see get violent with ZERO money involved. Basketball as well.

I know im repeating myself...
...but the stats show that black men are about 7% of the population and responsible for about 44% of the murders (as well as other violent crimes)

what stats do you see that show our culture is headed in the right direction?

What makes you think Joey is a plant?
Joey was a performing art school kid his moms was his manager early he was signed to Cinematic shyt was funny behind the scenes with Capital Steez he came out of nowhere on the NY hip-hop scene it wasn’t really a gradual organic build up and he didn’t have a body of work. 1999 and the videos just dropped and he was on with the blogs. Joey was presented as the star when it was supposed to be a collective. Johnny Shipes is behind him

I fukk with Joey tho and there’s nothing wrong with being a plant especially if you got talent that’s how it should be labels should go back to that approach
