anyone can be a rock singer, there's a million rock local rock bands all across america, being in a basement/garage rock band is just as common as local/novice rapper

lol @ a tight knit community, it's 2022, if their known artists were dying, it's on TMZ and social media. and we're not talking about drugs, we're talking about violence and homicide...

2 doesn't negate the fact that you can choose not to go back to or be involved with the people from the past. especially given the average gang nikka is not venturing further than their neighborhood. don't go visit other hoods trying to prove yourself (PNB rock) and don't go back to the places you frequented growing up where you may have mad enemies (ie dont go hang out at the local club after a performance in your hometown). lot of excuses being made for people choosing to be stupid in how they move

I can't just up and decide I want to be a Country artist. If one of them dies and isn't apart of that academy or whatever it is, it will not make the news and no one will talk about it. That whole thing is nearly cult like. It isn't like Hip Hop.

The whole bit about staying away from elements is a whole other issue because the street element is prioritize over rap. Rap used to be a way out. It's not that any more. Again, you can upload songs go viral and they are still stuck in the same environment. Even if they are signed to a major, the artist development isn't what it was and they don't have the handlers they once had.

Yeah, it sounds like breh was stressed after losing money.

It may seem like a playful jab but when you're that stressed, combined with being exhausted (they've been promoting that album) and people pop jokes that's an ingredient to have someone behave more irrationally than their baseline.

bro...what are you talking about, one, there are tons of local/unknown country artists. and in this conversation i'm having with you, i'm not even thinking about these random nikkas who get posted who get labeled rappers that only 500 people have heard of...i'm talking known rappers - king von, dolph, nipsey, xxx, PNB type people, if a country or rock artist of a similar stature were murdered, it will be on TMZ, blogs, news, and social posts. i have not seen those articles and posts, again, happy to see someone pull up receipts to show me how white stars are going back to their hoods or hanging with their gangsters and getting killed

Maybe their net worth isn’t reflective of what they actually have

Buying jewelry and cars and designer goods and big houses all adds up. You gotta pay labels back for videos and album budgets, etc

People swear these rappers are rich but they just keep up an image that the public buys into. Not saying it’s everybody, but they can’t all be millionaires
Migos are definitely millionaires

This ain't shyt but another case of nikka shyt:manny:

Again gambling+egos+hood volatility=violence

I ain't shot dice in damn near 20 years because of shyt like this

We can keep dancing around black folks and conflict resolution issues and that's fine but make sure you don't turn away when this happens again

And again

And again :francis:

If Rumors are true and this whole thing popped off because Quavo punched someone… if I was him I would take a few years off and get right with God… Feeling like I’m responsible for my own nephew death would destroy inside.

Shyyt, my cousin and best friend just died from a heart attack, but his heart problems were caused by a Crystal Meth Addiction, and a part of me still feels some blame for his death because I couldn’t convince him to get help for his addiction. I was the only one around him the last two years of his life and I could never get through to him even after I told him his addiction was killing him and that he would probably die soon. And even though I knew he was probably going to die soon, his death still crushed me. I’m still struggling with depression and crying everyday and it’s been over 1 month since it happened. Death is the absolute worse and can crush the soul if not dealt with properly.

My Faith in Jesus is the only reason why I have hope.
Sorry to hear about your lost and glad your taking it one day at a time. The most valuable thing human beings can lose is other humans. Loss contributes to spiritual growth and understanding even though it can be an excruciating process. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. May god bless you and put the right energy around you while you go through your process of grieving.

My point is, TMZ isn't going to go out of their way to acknowledge Country artists of that equivalent. If you aren't a part of that academy, you don't exist to them. It isn't going to drive the news cycle like them covering a rapper or a Pop star (even those with minor hits) would.
