Exactly, it depends if she woulda fell off by now or taken a break from the music industry to live life under the radar. I've said that her death is what made her into an icon. For example, look at Mariah Carey, great singer but fell off. Not saying that Aaliyah would be on the same level, but we cant say for certain.

Mariah may have fell off but she is still considered an icon/living legend.

I honestly feel his comments are inaccurate since Aaliyah was out first but give or take a year or two they really came out around the same time but I do feel Aaliyah is overrated tho. Average singer, above average dance, above average face, no ass, no titties, no curves. She's basically Ciara before Ciara with a worse body.

Now if people were to keep it a stack Aaliyahs sales were a lil suspect before she died although i personally liked the music.

But it probably wouldn't have been a big deal cause she had tim Plus i do think she would have moved more to the movies like how Tyrese did but still make music. I mean the Matrix is a big franchise and she was supposed to be in the next two. So they would have been in two different lanes.
