Maybe not exactly named a board of directors, but at least in New Jersey, your non-profit needs a board of something... I guess trustees or directors may be interchangeable terms here.I don’t think that’s true. Some churches have trustees or a deacon board. Others are run solely by the pastor. Even if they have a board, a lot of times, the pastor still has all the power.
