Just binged this over the past few days after seeing some posts about it elsewhere.
Heard the concept and was
. Looked up some info and saw
"Christopher Meloni as Nick Sax, a cynical, alcoholic ex-detective turned hitman" and then
"Patton Oswalt as the voice of Happy, an imaginary blue goofy cartoonish winged horse" and thought no way in fukk this could work. Those two characters don't even belong in the same universe, let alone series.
But, I decided to give it a shot since Syfy lets you stream all the episodes. I really didn't expect to like this shyt as much as I did but dammit it's good.
It's so unique. I'm amazed that such a bizarre, ridiculous concept worked so well. There are so many things in this show that are completely absurd and seem like they wouldn't mix. And I mean aside from the obvious imaginary friend and ex-cop hitman stuff; even the reality TV/mobwives element was crazy but somehow still fit in with the show.
Never heard of the comics till the day before yesterday, might have to check them out.
