This why I admit I’m a stan for one promotion and keep it moving. I feel free around these tsc streets.

Wwe/AEW puts on tv shows and this how I look at films

1. That was good and I loved it
2. That was good for what it was but I’m not a fan
3. That shyt was horrible and it’s bad
4. That shyt was horrible but I loved it

Charlotte and Tiffany on Friday was 4 for me

I say it was horrible but idgaf I loved it and posters don’t know how to respond.

I point out something shytty on this show and you see a bunch of “actually you’re wrong and here’s why…” “actually it was just the main event that was bad” like STFU lol

Respect to applying pressure to both brands

I respect it, I'm just the opposite kind of fan tbh.

I never thought I'd be in a non-WWE household... I love that shyt. All the talent. The presentation comes and goes like with anything but when WWE is great it's the best and I've almost always had a good time watching it.

But when the Vince shyt broke last year my Mrs was just done with them and it didn't feel like a difficult thing to drop when we still had 5 hours of wrestling a week available plus PPVs AND other promotions becoming more accessible. 5 hours of wrestling TV really is PLENTY for a week and the only times I've felt any sort of itch is Mania and RR weekend.

I don't pay attention to the booking because I don't watch it, so you flat out won't see me posting in the WWE threads saying I thought the Thea Hale or whoever match was actually kinda fire because I haven't got a clue what's going on but if I was i'd still be looking for the rays of sunshine*. :manny:

*I know, this is doing the Internet wrong.

its wild how Mox went from being viewed as the most reliable guy in AEW to being viewed as the worst champion with the worst storyline

I missed Bayne vs Storm last night, just saw it. Good match, some good power moves from Bayne and the kickout at 1 was a good spot.

Bayne still has major star potential but Tony's gotta switch up a couple things. Penelope looking like a bottle girl showing off her titties makes no sense with Baynes presentation.

I'm glad that Tony made AEW but sh1t like that makes me think he really is a mark who is just trying to make the wrestlers happy ie getting Penelope on the show for any reason.

I don't even think Mox is phoning it in or anything, he's in the best shape of his life and doing the wildest shyt in all his matches, but the storyline is fukking garbage and even good matches aren't going to save it.
If they would just cut out the Temu Bloodline shyt for EVERY fukking Mox title defense it would help a lot. I mean it would still suck, but at least it would improve the match quality. Like last night’s match actually ended up being a decent one, until the Temu Bloodline shyt started and it just went downhill quickly after Hanger’s part.

What storylines are making you tune in?

for me its more of the stars and the matches than the storylines. excited to see what happens in the Owen tourney. both have some interesting matchups that should be entertaining. not to mention that ppv just ended so not sure what is next especially for new tnt champ Adam Cole or the Hurt Syndicate. they may have some storylines that were created at the ppv like FTR heel turn and The Opps attacking Death Ryders but some stuff prolly gonna get going on Wednesday when it comes to other wrestlers and championships.

What storylines are making you tune in?

The story that's kept me coming back to wrestling since 1989 is "What will happen when these two entertaining nutjobs get in the ring and playfight to entertain the crowd"... we've great "stories" over the decades, but the fights have always been the core of it.

If a great story winds up in shytty matches, it usually gets remembered as a shytty story. If a hokey story creates a classic match, nobody remembers the hokeyness of the story.

If the wrestling was never the draw, we'd all be watching HBO or going to the theatre for our stories, but everyone in here chooses to watch pro wrestling as well. Because it offers something different. There is something unique and infinitely fascinating about wrestling's ability to tell stories through semi-real violence even if they are necessarily much less complex than the stories told over hours of dialogue on Sopranos or Game of Thrones.

Talking actual character/storyline work though, there have been LONG periods of my life where there wasn't anything in wrestling as compelling as Toni Storm for the past two years. If she's been talking or fighting, I've been watching.

He was over relied on
While lowkey he was pulling bad quarters last time (havent checked during this time, though they experienced a increase in feb/march overall)

There's still nothing announced for tomorrow show. :bryan:

Toni mentionned during the scrum that she'll be addressing the women in the Owen cup tournament but that's all.

Darby was booked for a AEW Title match and Danielson was going on interviews talking about putting over a local Seattle guy at WrestleDream weeks before the Death Riders bullshyt started. Plus you had the obligatory dirt shirt rumor of "currently there's talks about putting the belt on Darby" before All In 2024. It was pretty evident TK thought about making him champ during June-August of last year.

Why you acting like that was made up :dwillhuh:

People still clinging to Darby right now makes no damn sense, but there's a reason they are delusional about it :yeshrug:
Bruh, people are bringing up Darby because thinking with knowledge and understanding of the real world is beyond them. :pachaha:

These man think Tony is booking him in long term plans like he's going on a light hike. The very real reality of this dude been written off of TV because they don't know when/if he will be back in genuinely beyond the wrestling fans realm of comprehension.

I like what they are doing with Hangman/Swerve, Toni/Bayne (Mariah before that) and everything involving Toni, Mercedes/Harley as friends/enemies and Mercedes/Athena, Everything to do with The Hurt Syndicate and Omega's International Title Reign..
