How do you feel about Alpo and the way he played his cards?

What was your experience like in Rikers and Spofford?

What made you get in the game?

How did you get out the game?

What high school did you attend and what was that like?

Any experiences on Clay Avenue?

What type of gear did you rock in those days?

Did you sell to pregnant women, children, the elderly?

Who was the most tragic fiend you encountered?

Did you ever get high off ya own supply?

What is your message to the young boys coming up now?

Any pics from the era?

Have you read Bodega Dreams?

What was your soundtrack to that era? Artists and songs that take you back?

What do you miss most about old NY and how do you feel about new NY?

If anything I was pulling better looking women after I left the game. Misery loves company, so if your entire identity is being a drug dealer in the hood you'll attract a lot of women with fat asses but no education, traumatic life experiences and chaotic home lives, tacky weave/makeup, you can imagine the type.

I'm a good looking dude, tall, good build but quality chicks with degrees, nice teeth, stable families wouldn't mess with me or take me seriously as anything other than a fling. Once I was in college and working towards a career in the formal economy my options seemed endless (not always a good thing).
Why you say that?

In terms of crime and cleanliness how was mid town manhattan during those times?
I know you ain't from there but how is Queens as a borough?
What was life like for the average citizen in the hood in the 90s who wasn't doing dirt?
NYPD in your opinion worse then or now?

The only time I seen “fingers” of dope was In jail Most of the time dudes cop drums/bundles and make it move like that. Flat weight though, you normally talking 80 on a grizzy. Idk what the bless would be like copping more than 3 grams at a time tho.

And this is NY? Is y’all known for it like Cali known for weed?? Or is that Jersey or someplace?

I knew neutral guys who kept to themselves upstate and on the island, and then I knew guys who fukked with Kings or Netas. Bloods came a little later and they weren't a factor when I was still hustling. I don't have first hand experience but to be honest I probably would have rocked with the Ricans up top. If you came from predominantly Rican areas and you were Rican, you'd probably stick with your peoples in the system.

No idea about the crossover. I'm very far removed from that world. I haven't touched work since March '96, I'm guessing these kids aren't getting taken seriously by the old guys from my generation doing life or 50 years.

Netas are a non factor in NYC these days...but some of my older friends were wit em back in the dayz...tell us your experience with them in they hey day. along wit the kings.

Definitely not. NYC isn’t a dope city anymore on the whole like say, Baltimore or Pittsburgh where dog food is the cow. Most of the time you have a nikka that go uptown to cop his soft and say fuxk it lemme get 100 drums as an undercard. Unless you live in the burbs or trap in the burbs (Long Island Staten Island), Coke is king, party packs a close second

Yao OP I got a question.

In my era (late 00s - mid 10s) Bronx nikkas dislike Harlem nikkas and real big on violating dudes from Harlem that find they self in the Bronx.

But you and my old head (he was doing him a Few years before you, 86 and allat) sound like y’all was Bronx nikkas moving freely throughout Harlem and vice versa. Was nikkas ever on some Harlem V Bronx shyt back then?

And can you state for the record that Brooklyn nikkas put the fear of God in nikkas that aren’t from Brooklyn :usure:

East Side!
I'm kind of confused.. Big L lost a fight and flexed on the guy after the fight bc he was mad that he lost? Then out of retaliation, Big L was killed?

Big L's brother, Lee, plotted to have his associates killed while he was locked up. Big L was cool with the one of the guys (Reg) his brother wanted dead so he went with the killer and placed a chain around Reg's neck to identify him to the killer. Reg was killed after that, and another dude who was supposed to be killed named Gee saw Big L with the killer and connected the dots and killed Big L in retaliation.
