they need to address wealth inequality and mental health issues on a massive scale ASAP.
my understanding is that when that happens now, the bad guy is liable under the felony murder rule/transferred malice
i'm aware of several cases where cops shot bystanders by accident and their target ended up getting charged, my google fu is weak atm tho

So we have Black people who are against this but cry about white supremacy and being behind enemy lines all damn day??
Gonna need you soft ass nikkaz for once in your life to stand the fukk up!!!!!
I remember the empire state shooting by the nypd years ago
so it's theoretically possible one individual can have a dozen+ bystander shooting victims and be in the clear legally.
these are all criminal activity shootings where people are long distance targeting someone/shooting dangerously. responsible gun owners who carry for protection aren't going to be driving on a motorcycle shooting at the person who robbed them or running down the block spraying at who grabbed their purse. the only way to legally use your gun in self defense is grave imminent threat - this is someone with a gun on you, someone beating the shyt out of you, someone who has grabbed you on their way to raping you - CCW doesn't give you the right to shootouts, legal gun use is for close quarter confrontation. it's wild we can quickly compartmentalize who actually are criminals/doing criminal behavior when it comes to defending certain groups, then we're going to ascribe criminal behavior to the majority because of something legal we dont like....like huh?gonna see an increase of bystanders getting shot.
unless the CCW holder intends to always press the barrel of the gun on the person presenting a imminent threat to them before they pull the trigger, there is a chance the bullets they fire will hit someone else due to the high density population of this city.these are all criminal activity shootings where people are long distance targeting someone/shooting dangerously. responsible gun owners who carry for protection aren't going to be driving on a motorcycle shooting at the person who robbed them or running down the block spraying at who grabbed their purse. the only way to legally use your gun in self defense is grave imminent threat - this is someone with a gun on you, someone beating the shyt out of you, someone who has grabbed you on their way to raping you - CCW doesn't give you the right to shootouts, legal gun use is for close quarter confrontation. it's wild we can quickly compartmentalize who actually are criminals/doing criminal behavior when it comes to defending certain groups, then we're going to ascribe criminal behavior to the majority because of something legal we dont like....like huh?

I don't for one second believe all gun owners will be calm and capable of perfect aim in a volatile situation.
Does not your statement prove his point? They were two white men who wanted more freedom than what they already had in carrying a gun, but our law abiding people (Black) in NYC were restricted from carrying at all unless we had connections in the licensing process. The lawsuit was filed by 2 white guys with the backing of the NRA and they both had permits but there were still some limits
Government doesn't have the ability to arbitrarily determine who restrictions apply to. That's the issue with "may issue". The 14th Amendment still exists. What happened to state police powers?
Precedent says constitutional rights are never absolute. States can curtail certain rights for the safety, morals and general welfare for its residents.
