btw all the people saying dems need to get rid of the legislative filibuster: get ready for a repeat of this when republicans win back the senate (assuming dems win it in November). This is what wielding power with no care for opposing views looks like. Every law you pass will be destroyed next time republicans take over. Keep it in mind, next time you tell yourself voting doesn’t matter or whatever. Republicans don’t give a fukk.

Uhh they have to be voted in every 2 years. Supreme Court justice serve lifetime appointments without any type of direct input from the people yet have as much power as congress or the executive branch. I know the other is two year terms unlimited as long as you win.
The point is they would never drop term limits on themselves.....does that have to ve explained?
they don't need to. people want term limits for the other critter, not their critter. once a federal judge is appointed i have no say in whether or not they get to serve 8 years or 40 years. when my congresscritter is elected i have a say in whether or not they serve 2 years or 40 years (the majority might not agree with me) and if you're registered with a party you get a say twice during the election year, in the primaries and the general.I know one is unlimited life term
