why would i need another account to point out that another trump presidency goes against everything you claim to stand for :ehh:

Sounds like we need Biden to step down ASAP so we have the best chance to beat him :salute:

And I know you agree because you've been saying the exact same thing all day in the debate thread :salute:

whats the chevron ruling, in a sentence or two? i see republicans gloating about it

To be more specific than the previous answer you got:

The Court has now granted itself the power to reinterpret the regulatory bounds of virtually every federal agency down to the letter. Overthrowing the Chevron ruling means that federal agencies are virtually powerless to set regulations, unless Congress has passed a law with the EXACT wording of the regulation in it, then the Supreme Court can now step in and say, "I'm sorry, our billionaire donors don't like that regulation and it wasn't given to you in that explicit wording, so we're just going to overturn it."

TBH, this particular court had already been acting like Chevron didn't exist for the last 6-7 years. They completely gutted the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, basically saying, "You know what, perhaps none of us have the slightest scientific background and have never been appointed to control regulations in your field, but we'll just arbitrarily decide that you no longer have the power to regulate THESE waterways and you no longer have the authority to regulate THESE pollutants, because our funders don't want you to." But officially rebuking the Chevron ruling in an official decision means that every right-wing federal judge in the country now has the authority to overturn virtually any federal regulation they want without having to worry about Supreme Court precedent anymore.

His parents brought him here young, America is all he knows, they forced him to be American and it doesn’t line up with his dreams.

He related to refugees everywhere because he was a refugee. @FAH1223 is kind of the same way, but different.

Actually the guy who changed his name a lot is too, but whatever.

:laff:

I guess you're referring to Napolean? I've changed my name exactly 1 more time than you have, "Call Me James".

What have I ever posted that made you think I was a refugee or that I "relate" to them in any way other than being a decent human being and Christian? Identifying with refugees IS an American value and a Christian value, and one that most folk understand.

Which is more embarrassing, that you're reduced to anti-immigrant talking points, or that you're so shook of me that you're afraid to say my name? :skip:

In before you try to say "I wasn't talking about you", when everyone here already knows from past history that I'm the only one you're that shook of. :pacspit:

All this is to say, the thing my ancestors fought for that has been a part of our heritage and family story doesn’t relate.

Your ancestors would be ashamed of some of the bullshyt you spew on here. :francis:

You're a well-off Microsoft employee who plays video games and photographs weddings in his spare time. I'd bet anything that the biggest social activism you've ever done is claiming you're going to tutor inner city kids on computer skills and then only showing up twice because you don't like the drive. Your idea of caring is telling people to vote. Don't take credit for the work of people far better than yourself as if that's been a part of your life at all.
