It was either that or getting cancelled altogether as Max wasn’t picking it up and it didn’t have the Netflix deal like All American does.

I mean if Lex is the final villain, they might be able to get through on some episodes being lower budget but they definitely will have to make the family drama compelling without the rest of the cast
