I see what you mean... But what do you mean LET? The nephew has ALL the power
I don't think that the nephew has "all" the power. WB/DC has the universal rights to the character of Superman. WB/DC is not going to have a minor technicality stop the release of a blockbuster film about Superman in those countries.

This is a pure cash grab by Shuster's nephew. Why hasn't he sued WB/DC about the numerous Superman animated movies that have been released since 2017? There's a new Superman animated show that debuted in 2023 (My Adventures with Superman). Why hasn't he sued to block that from being released? Oh yeah, it's probably because he can't get big bucks from that, and he really doesn't have much legal merit.

Ok I see what you mean. I don't know, so I'm really asking. I thought this was major, based on the article, because it says you cannot release this without permission of all members...

What I don't know, is that if he says "fukk this, I'm not signing shyt" can they really just put it out anyway? Can he really shut down a whole movie? I mean if I didn't have MJ's permission, I'm sure I couldn't sell his shoes even if Nike said I can.. Cause he owns some portion of the copyrights.. I would think that's what is happening here...

But all that is mute because I do think he will accept a check and call it a day... I'm more curious IF he could stop it

Well, the worst-case scenario is that Superman (2025) wouldn't be released in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and the UK (but released everywhere else). However, that would upset moviegoers and Superman fans in those respective countries. So Warren Peary wouldn't gain much sympathy lol.

He'll take a settlement. I would be shocked otherwise. If not, WB/DC would go to court, and they'd probably win the case.
