Why you say that? Matt Reeves Batman was mid at best. Not even better than Nolans Dark Knight or Burtons first 2 movies.

I think Gunn will be aight.
The Batman is far from perfect, I'll be the first to admit that, but the world Reeve's has built is :ohlawd:his Batverse filled a lot of the gaps that have been missing from Batman films.

After The Penguin I have more than a little faith that the upcoming movie will be :wow:

Also let's not act like nikkas gave that much of a fukk about Batman Begins

Nah, that tweet is BS. Matt Reeves doesn't want his version of Batman to be in the DCU and James Gunn respects that (he hasn't said anything to the contrary).

I don't think that Reeves Batman would fit in the DCU either. I personally don't care for a "grounded and realistic" Batman.

Superheroes SHOULD be fantastical, that's literally the entire point. They're science fiction.
Reeves standing 10 toes:wow:

Reeves probably feels the same way I've always felt. Batman represents a clash of tones with the rest of the DC universe

Batman, at its absolute best, is gritty detective stories about lunatics with action elements. Think Raymond Chandler novels with fight scenes and costumes. This is the reason The Batman being a Se7en ripoff works so well. Batman and Gordon trying to figure out psychopaths before they keep doing psychopath shyt.

The Nolan movies only dabble in the detective work elements, they're mostly action movies. And Dark Knight is still GOAT, but The Batman is arguably more faithful to the original mythos of Batman stories than any other live action iteration

When you stick to the true core and tone of Batman, he absolutely clashes with the more fantastical elements of other DC characters. And the fact that the most revered Batman stories(Killing Joke, Long Halloween etc) don't have other DC heroes should say it all

The Penguin was great. It was visceral.

In the batman, there were certain elements like after the flood where I saw the Bruce Wayne as too emo, too weird and it just didn't fit anymore....like something didn't click and it fell short. I loved the narration in the intro and the dark cuts of Gotham plus the noir element....but it did not fully go into fruition so my interest dissipated.

I loved cat woman though. I really feel a spin off on her would be dope.

Joker in prison was very cringe. 😬

Also, I said "The Dark Knight". The Batman was better than Batman begins by a long shot.

Everything Gunn will have in here will be comic book accurate. Some people might not like certain aspects but it'll all be ripped out of the comics in some way...

And 2 villains confirmed will be Brainiac and Ultra man. Ultra man is Lex henchman that Supes was fighting in the stadium.

The scene where Kal El is hugging Lois at night in the crib, Brainiac is outside. He'll probably be the major villain.

There's an extended teaser in theatres.

The Snyder cult doesn't run deep... They were trying to throw water on 'The Batman' and stage boycotts and shyt and the film made $770M in a short release window, probably could have cleared $1B if Max didn't already have a deal to stream it early.
I'm not talking about Snyder fans. Nikkas ain't synder gang just because they don't like the trailer

Point is that vocal minority being 1% of movie goers is grossly inaccurate, and those online voices have had a tangible effect on movie attendance
