:mjlol: fukk what yall are sayin... Snyder blacked out on here. There aren't 10 comic book movie action sequences better than this, don't quote me with shoddy CGI bullshyt either lol. This was filmed a decade ago and the CGI is better than most of what comes out today. Even the VFX artists themselves have said that.

CGI alone doesn’t make a good fight scene.

The fact of the matter is nobody cares about Smallville getting torn up cause we don’t know anybody their except Ma Kent.

The freakin car chase in Winter Soldier with Fury is 100x more tense and nerve racking than Cavill’s constipated Superman walking down a street we’ve never seen before.

edit: the fact that the stupid Smallville fight begins with one of the dumbest moments in a superhero movie that makes Superman look like an idiot Is it’s worst offense.

It's funny to me the fans can never name something good about that movie except the action scenes.

Not a character, a dramatic scene, a twist, a story beat, a favorite quote - nothing.
Everyone remembers that scene in The Dark Knight where Joker meets the mob bosses and shows them "a magic trick". Classic movie scene. But MoS fans are just like "didn't the 15th time he got punched thru a building look cool?!"

Your post just encapsulated everything Snyder fans are. It’s all about the cool moments with them and him…zero substance.

Whaaaaaa? The scene where Superman leaves the soon to be "Fortress of Solitude" with his suit on and learns to fly is iconic. From the special effects, to the Russell Crow voice over, to the score. Man of Steel has one of the most memorable scores of all comic movies, and the fact that it had to follow up a John Williams score makes it that much more impressive. Most people recognize the score after the first 2 notes.

Bullshyt. I've discussed many other aspects of the film that were enjoyable. The entire setup and world building Snyder did on Krypton before we get to Smallville was very well thought out. It had layers of dramatic tension, it showed parts of the lore we had never seen before and the production design was incredible.

'Man of Steel' is far from a perfect movie but when people come in here and say it's a "top ten CBM" and there have been plenty of people on here who have said that, I can't argue it. I'm not sure it'd be in my own top ten but is it better than the usual run of mill origin story? Yes.

Even Zod as a villain was more layered than your typical villain. He raised a lot of valid points, they wrote him as way more than just a one note character.

There isn’t really a lot of quotables now that you mention it. But I did like the different take on clark. You sound like me when I ask about endgame so I definitely understand the criticisms you have

I'm not interested in having a full on debate about 'Man of Steel' on here again. If you want to read more thoughts go dig up the dozens of threads already on here.

The posters who call anyone who liked the movie "Snyder stans" are very low IQ posters and probably have to check in with a case manager regularly. They can't string together more than one sentence. :mjlol:

I feel like there will never be a good Superman movie. At least never better than a Batman movie.

Man of Steel :wow:

Because Muschietti feels the need to basically take many of the main characters and plot straight from Man of Steel and make them central to the Flash movie.

So the director of Gunn's favorite movie is admitting that Snyder did it better than he could.

You mean the same way Snyder lifted those from Donner?

I personally think Krypto is still a good choice and I think it will be the super powered Krypto
we just had rocket and cosmo show Gunn could do this
it fits with the whole "legacy" thing since Clark is probably trying to embrace his Kryptonian legacy and earth legacy

if samara weaving could f her way into the job, she would. So if she ends up getting it, you know why. I'm not saying she would f James Gunn nor do I have any facts to back my point.
