Are we walkin personal opinion or box office gross.

Cause if we're talkin box office gross a lot of it has to do with how good the movie is..

no it doesn't. you know how many trash movies make a killing? just look at transformers and twilight and the bs horror movies of today.

word of mouth can play a factor , but imo its more a factor for the weekends after opening.. like the noah movie..most people i know hated it and it had a huge drop off after opening at #1 due to shytty word of mouth.

Man, I forgot about those dumb ass Power Rangers movies too. I think the last movie my father saw in a movie theater before Mandela was Malcolm X, so I knew he wasn't doing that shyt.

Also, I forgot Transformers 4 will have Mark Wahlberg reciting/ad-libbing shytty lines with that beastly accent. I haven't seen a Transformers since the first one in 07, but this one has my money. I'll make sure to bring the flask along for the journey.

World wide money ? Itll be between Godzilla (if its good as the trailer makes it out to be) and Transformers

Domestic.. Spiderman has a slight chance but I think itll do similar numbers to Ninja Turtles honestly (neither will do bad)

I think this x men flops honestly :yeshrug:

people getting tired of the change of directors etc... I think most of the casual fan base is confused at this point in time.. especially those who didnt see first class

How To Train Your Dragon 2 is probably going to be the biggest movie of the summer...

...but I think Godzilla is going to be the best movie of the bunch.

I'm worried about both X-Men and Spider-Man. The more I see of each...and I actively avoid almost all trailers and bonus content...the lower my expectations get.

I think I've see the trailer once. It's sort of off my radar to be honest.

But I really liked the first one despite low expectations, so I'm hopeful they back it up with another solid effort.

Transformers: $709M
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: $836M
Transformers: Dark of the Moon: $1.1B

Hate him or love him, Bay got this box office wise..

Foreigners love robots. And explosions. And plots so stupid it literally doesn't matter if you know what's going on.

Can't just blame the foreigners on this one though, the last Transformers joint made north of $400M here :mjlol: :manny:

True, people are idiots everywhere.

That said, I'll see the movie opening weekend :heh:

But I see pretty much everything...MoviePass >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That's what I'm sayin though. Word of mouth is huge. A movie's momentum after the opening weekend hinges on word of mouth.
