i think he almost moved up because of the money because there were talks of him going to 118 which would have been insane
That would have been disatrous. He looks far too small at 115, which is crazy when you think about it because it is only 3 lbs between that and 112. It isnt just age, the weight is a factor. Crazy how for him 3 lbs is the breaking point...but to be fair he already has moved up a lot and when you fight guys who are naturally at that weight class and still are on a trajectory to move up above 115 in the future.

Not many can do what Manny and Floyd did to remain the best in weight classes that were really above where they would have been if they chose to cut weight at the rate other fighters do.

Great card. Cuadras vs Estrada was an excellent fight displaying the ebb & flow of boxing, Cuadras controlling early and Estrada ramping it up mid fight to get the W. Scorecards were dead on.

Inoue did what he was supposed to do against the opponent he had in front of him, anxious to see how he develops going forward.

King Sor is a beast, he left no doubt in this rematch. Those two right hooks that caused the knockdown and the ensuing KO were devastating, sad to see Chocolatito go down like this. Might be time ti hang it up.

Gonzalez aint wanna be in there bruhs once he got hit. Same with Kovalev, same with Rousey.

Crazy when that 0 gets snatched, that fear of you is gone :camby:
I think what happened is simply a pressure fighter who relies on forward momentum met someone who wasn't willing to back down.

The matchup with the styles and the overall result reminded me to Tszyu vs Hatton. KO monster pressure fighter meets a physically tougher guy who won't back down and also beating and roughing him up in the pocket and on the inside.

That's a fact. I remember pointing out his flaws and his weak competition back when HBO had him #1 P4P. World champion still fighting guys with 20+ losses :hhh:

Only so long you can hide in boxing. Hope Canelo isn't next or Oscar might have to pull out those old outfits and start walking the track for some bread

He has some tune ups here and there but his resume is impeccable; Yaegashi at the time, Rodriguez Jr, Viloria, Sosa, Cuadras, and Estrada are all legit wins. He wasn't " hiding", he was fighting the best in divisions and picking up lineal titles.

People just hated the fact that HBO and Ring magazine were getting behind him and started shytting on the guy and his level of competition without even knowing shyt about these divisions.

If you only discovered Gonzalez in 2015 when HBO picked him up, your opinion about him or boxing in general isn't worth shyt.
:mjlol:

No offense, but shut the fukk up. You're not even a year into Coli posting, have no #Ring juice etc. and are telling people they don't know shyt because they don't follow the smaller divisions. I first saw him fight SOsa? or Viloria? Dude is/was pretty good however, must people even hardcores on this board don't follow 118 and under.

Onto Roman. Since he moved up he's received three pumpkin faces, a razor close fight with Cuadras, another one with KS who was basically living in his gym, and catching food outside of it, and finally got the 808's last night. It's understandable for people to think, based on his last few outings, this dude was P4p#1? Now if you've been watching him since Estrada in 2k12, your opinion would be different. But fact is, dude came 'out of nowhere' high onto the P4P list and most either, hadn't seen him or don't mess with the smaller divisions. We see him getting the triple G push, put on his card etc. and 3 of the 4 times he got his snot box rocked? I think you need to take a more careful, less emotional approach when you post. Gain up some Ring clout, hit the OG thread all that, before you start telling people their boxing opinion ain't shyt, because they don't watch the smaller weights.

Also, his style is very fan friendly as a come forward guy with fundamentals and power, just like Triple G, he was bound to run into someone who could take his punch, and give it back stronger.

BTW @Newzz are you still gonna fight Cuadras, coming off a loss?
