So is it over now for Bernie? How can he recover from this?
It's gonna take a miracle dog.
Run a ticket out the gate..,you won’t get all that in one person. Buck the system and present a ticket where you can have the rabble rouser and the charismatic lover working in tandem from day one
Hmm . . . yeah that's unorthodox why not. lol

LOL @ this. I like Bernie and I like progressive ideas but you need to accept that down south democrats are more moderate than the coasts.. they weren't "told" who to vote for, they also voted for Hillary. They like moderates.
you can't tell these dudes anything. They think every Democrat is a progressive. And can only think about things from a progressive viewpoint.

So thats literally it, eh? Folks here voted for this man to keep absolutely everything the same then?
That's not it but that's major. You don't think the Supreme Court is important? :gucci:

Also, Trump is literally appointing a whole bunch of unqualified, ultra-conservative judges to LIFETIME positions. Those judges will enforce racial gerrymandering against non-White voters (especially Black voters), will overturn Obamacare and any "Medicare for All" type plan, will roll back environmental protections, will enforce racial ID voting laws (which especially affects poor Black voters), will be very corporate friendly and I could go on.

Why as a "progressive" would you want that to continue? No matter how you feel about Biden. He wouldn't appoint judges like that. The choice is simple :dahell:.

@FAH1223 what you think about this? Bernie has rewarded Nina Turner with a prominent/visible role in his campaign........why? Her black outreach in the South has been abysmal.
On one hand, Bernie probably should have invested in more in the south. I also think running more left wing wasn't a good idea. He got endorsements inside SC, he had way better staff... he probably should have been trying to get Clyburn to hold off, offering something.

Unless you can get new people in, winning a Dem primary is hard without institutional or establishment backing.

And Obama's VP being able to snap a finger and get black support is tough

Biden going to pay for Obama’s policy towards Latinos though.
I’m not one who is counting on the Latino vote to stay as blue in the first place. Trump got 30%, some of them are white or can hide in whiteness (Bill Richardson types), immigration from corrupt left countries in Latin America...dems gonna “pay” with them in time regardless

I honestly think its stupid to campaign on revolution when the average American wants slight shocks to the system, not full upheaval.

Revolutions are usually set off by some great collective suffering and we’re not there yet.

I’m really not surprised that message isn’t resonating with many.
It’s always safer to swim back to shore than to wade out into the unknown

black wealth is going to be zero in 2050. Hopefully biden does better than obama. Obama took black vote for granted, Biden will be indebted to us... I hope.
he ran the table on votes in states he cant get in the general election. sadly, like all dems, he wont really have to do anything for blacks if he gets the nomination.

The constant disrespect for blacks in the south is amazing. The likes of Bernie will continue to get washed down here unless they smarten up.
