Finally getting one of those PowerA Wireless GameCube controllers in the mail today after waiting a bit due to availability. They’re touted as the “best controller for smash” so we’ll see how they perform.

I know I was bytching about the analog stick on the pro controller a lil while back but now that I’ve played a lot more I’m pretty used it, and would say that’s arguably the best controller to play with overall. It’ll be interesting to see which one I prefer over the other. I’ll let y’all know

Was busy this week but finally got the chance to really lab this GC controller last night. While I prefer the button layout & sticks, the TRIGGERS are what’s got me thinking that the Pro is still the overall best controller. The GameCube triggers have much more of a distance to push in for inputs, and for me personally, it makes dodging & rolls feel a little less responsive/clunky . The button layout does feel better than the pro though. NAirs/short hop attacks are a little easier to pull off since the A &Y buttons are so close, and for some reason that tiny little B button feels just right for special attacks.

If you’ve got muscle memory from years & years of playing on the GC controller you might not even notice it like that, but since I been playing with the pro controller since launch, I definitely appreciate those digital triggers & it’s wider set stance (my hands are closer in on that GC controller).

The power A controller is quality tho. The joysticks are snappy, Buttons are really clicky (loud af too tbh), and it feels solid in hand. Only gripe about it is no rumble and that the left analog stick is shedding tiny pieces of rubber off with every play session. It’s not too serious but I’ve probably played with the controller only for a couple hours or so and the stick looks like I play with sandpaper on my thumbs lol

Ness in my main list and Little Mac be on some next shyt with these punches. he's in a state of invincibility with some of them. not to mention a lot of the punches cancelling my moves.

It's ridiculous that he's a heavy with 2 projectiles (one of em might be the best in the game), amazing recovery special, a counter, and extremely heavy weight. With Link, I can't knock that fukker out until 170%+. He'll clear me off the stage at 110%.

Yo rage quitters really be turned into CPUs online. was facing some dude and wasn't paying to the match starting for a sec, and he was waiting on me. appreciated it, but then started going ham on him and took a stock of his in seconds, and then the game just paused had me thinking connection error. Then the battle starts back up and dude's movements were no longer like a real player.

I had to clip that battle. It was low GSP so the dude shouldn't feel all too bad. trying to bring my Zero Suit Samus back up there in rank after she got murked by several sword fighters and small characters she can barely hit due to being so tall.
