There's spirits that negate the control swap effect which makes those fights much easier, although I cant recall which ones have that effect off the top of my head



Found out that my area actually has a thriving Ultimate and even Melee scene and a slew of esports venues/groups in my local area. going to my first local tourney tonight

There’s some group called SAK Gaming that has their own esports lounge but they do weeklies at other venues as well every day of the week all over Phoenix, AZ. I went to one called PureSmash at some new esports lounge by my house. Cool lil venue. SAK usually streams most of the matches from the big tournaments they host along with some of the weeklies

I was beasting in friendlies with WiiFit so I went with her during the tournament rounds but lost to a Snake and then a Ritcher in double elimation. I planned on using Bowser but I was feelin myself with WFT from friendlies and didn’t like those zoner matchups, so I thought I’d catch people off guard with an uncommon character. shoulda used my OG tho

I did get to play a ton of matchups against good players using more uncommon characters so that was cool. I’ll be busy with games like outer worlds and Pokémon coming out but now I’ve got that drive to tighten up my fundamentals and push my bowser even further. I’m coming for mf’s heads next week

Believe me bruh. If u just getting into competitive the best thing u can do when u at these events is just get as much matches as u can. When i first started going to tournaments i got my ass kicked for a good 3 months. But every tournament i felt myself getting better. You only get better when u play people that are better then you.
