It was aight but can I be honest?

I thought the 93 movie was a way more interesting take on the source material. Not good obviously, but they took a risk with it. Now every adaptation has to be safe to appease the diehards :hhh:

It hit me when I came away liking the New York parts better than anything else. But I never really cared for Mario to begin with.

I don't think anobody cares about that shyt other than metal sonic. I mean, nobody else is iconic to sell a movie. If you're adding amy and then weirdo characters from the adventure series you may as well pivot to streaming only...
Breh you have clearly not kept in touch with anything Sonic since the Genesis games lmao. The series has a whole slew of lore and the most iconic Sonic rival is in the third movie

what would you have wanted them to do?

Mario really has no story in itself

You ever played a Mario game based on New York?
To be fair...

Nobody cares breh. Stay tuned. Go ahead make a movie about big the cat and see what happens.
Breh were talking about Shadow, literally the second most popular character in the franchise.

A whole generation of fans got into Sonic through SA2. Like obviously if you were born in the 80s you wouldn't get it but for 90s baby Sonic fans, SA2 was for us what Sonic 1 was for you.

And it was a fraction of the popularity of the original series. But, it's not worth arguing anymore.

The take that Mario 93 > Mario 2023 is truly unhinged however :heh:
