I think he coached in college briefly several years ago but either way it's s bad idea. The only thing I would trust him with is drafting and scouting.

A new owner is always gonna have the right to bring his guys in but man...not like this. If you want to give IT a "exec vice president of...something" role then fine. But firing a good GM to replace him with IT is insanity. And hiring him as a coach is even crazier.
