It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they try to screw CP3 over in the 3rd year of that deal and not fully guarantee it.
how would that be screwing CP3 over, they agreed on the contract that way for the exact reason to potentially part ways after 2 years while allowing CP3 to still collect some money

Because CP3 literally could have went to other teams around the league and got the fully 3 years guaranteed. Kyle Lowry got more guaranteed money and a better deal than CP3 did and CP3 is the better player at this point in his career.

He did Phoenix the favor leaving money on the table to help their championship window and also tailoring his contract to give them flexibility to improve the roster.

Ayton disappeared during the finals but most of that stuff you can overcome. Dumb for them not offering him the extension considering the market of big men.

I mean CP3 agreed to this, I dont see how it screws him over, its literally part of the contract. If they part ways, he gets paid 15mil no strings attached

He agreed to it yes, but it doesn't mean that they didn't have a "agreement" beforehand prior to him signing the contract. It could be a situation like where he got traded to Houston where they agreed beforehand that he'd opt in to the last year of his deal under the pretenses that they'd take care of him later, which they did in the contract that he has now.

Also remember that he had to step down as the President of the NBPA to even sign this deal as there was no way that he could do this particular deal with him in that position.

I've been his biggest critic.I don't trust players with self motivation/motor issues.I've watched damn near every game since he got to the league.90% of the time,he had me pulling my hair out. He'd play timid, give low effort, and completely turn invisible. His playoff performance was like an anomaly. He played really well in most of the games. He still had games where he turned invisible, but nothing like the regular season.I felt like his heart turned back into a pumpkin vs Giannis.I seriously believe he has the size & athleticism to be more effective defending Giannis, but he lacks the heart, and mental toughness to live up to his potential at times. If you're just as big & athletic, with decent effort, you can get in Ayton's head. The only 1st tier center I've seen him play well against is Jokic.I think Jokic being so slow & plodding makes it easier for Ayton to wrap his mind around that match up.He's kryptonite to Jokic.During the playoff run, the Lakers, and Clips had 3rd tier centers. The Nugs had Jokic, but I've already explained that one.He didn't really face a big who could physically/mentally intimidate him until Giannis in the Finals. Before the playoff run, there was rumblings about James Jones not being all that fond of Ayton.I still think they'll end up paying him, tho.
