i hate it when i see people basically belittling people that commit suicide and etc. you don't know what that person is going through. we all are human beings. anybody can find themselves in that situation where the weight gets heavy to the point where suicide crosses their minds. we all have our breaking point. for all of you that are looking down on this man that killed himself, just consider yourself fortunate that you haven't reached your breaking point and just hope that you don't reach there where you have contemplate not wanting to live anymore. don't ever think that you can't be in that situation or it can't happen to your loved one or whatever. you never know.

rest in peace to your friend.

I've never been on the whole 'suicide is selfish' brigade. Everyone's circumstance is different and while I personally believe there should always be an alternative, it's ultimately irrelevant. Always sad when someone takes their life but it's their life. Honestly the only instance in which someone's suicide will make me disgusted is when a child is depending on said individual. I don't see a scenario where that's ever not selfish.

Shogun: allow yourself to feel your feelings. Give yourself permission to feel as impartial & blah as you feel. Honor your own experience.

Again, campaigning for dead folks' right to be dead is USELESS. Whether mourned or not, they died by their own hand. The insurance co will not pay one thin dime!

The way I see it is if you want to kill yourself it's your right and no one has the right to tell you it's wrong. People will say it's selfish. No what IS selfish is you telling someone to ignore all their pain just so YOU won't have the misfortune of crying about his death for a few months or even less. How dare he kill himself and inconvenience you, right?

You never get the flowers when you can still smell them. RIP to your friend.

Came in to say this.

People can do whatever they want with their life.

I try not to look down upon anyone no matter what's the issue or concern. At the end of the day, we cannot live their lives. Everyone reacts differently to the struggles that life bring. The bigger topic at hand is depression, alienation, and inferiority. Your environment influences the way you view life, the world ,family...etc We need to focus more on the catalyst that puts that person in that mind frame. All we do is label it as depression and move on. We never truly dwell on the causes and why he or she went through with it.

I can only accept it if its shown or proven that attempts of saving their life don't work. To just get a call or come home to someone that's gone and be like :wtf: why? Is completely different to understand how and why it came to that.

I am sorry for your loss.

Nope.
The insurance co will not pay one thin dime!

False.

"There are many people who usually take short-term life insurance policy just to attempt suicide and pretend that it was a murder. For this reason, life insurance companies madethe suicide clause in which the coverage of suicide death is only possible if you get your life insurance policy and wait for two years to kill yourself."

So a dude I know committed that today :beli:

I dont want to go into any specifics, for obvious reasons, but how do yall feel about this shyt? Obviously its sad, but I don't really feel all that sad. Dude gave up, and took the easy way out. shyt seems more selfish than anything.

am I just a prick? :ld:
why be sad about somebody that has obtained what they wanted? they wanted to die and made it happen. the only reason to be sad is because you selfishly wanted them to continue living despite their own wishes.

You are a prick for passing judgement on your friend....

Suicide is not the easy way out...It's not like people just commit suicide left and right when the going gets tough...

Suicide is not selfish...

Everybody eventually dies, and it doesn't matter if you only lived for 1 hour or 876000 hours...

Maybe your friend had an underlying mental illness, and in that case I wouldn't say "dude gave up to easily."

You wouldn't tell someone who died of a heart attack, "you gave up to easily."

This is just my opinion based on the limited info you provided....

My opinion is subject to change based on new info...

"Selfish p*ssy" you're looking at it on one end of the spectrum. You have no idea what's going through a person's mind when they have the desire to end their life. They themselves are suffering. But in order to have someone happy that you're still alive, is selfish in itself just to keep them alive for your own gratitude.

we will agree to disagree i guess. its a selfish act because there are avenues out there that will provide help, with literally EVERY problem that can arise aside from terminal illness. blowing your head off is a p*ssy ass, permanent solution to what 99.9% of the time amounts to be a short term problem. ive had a pretty close relative eat a bullet. he didnt exhaust any of the multiple avenues for help that are out there. a direct slap in the face to anyone who cared about his well being. straight up being a bytch about what he deemed were "major" problems and just checking out. we can have a discussion about what a person should do if he explores every option out there, and still decides to off their self, but if you just up and clock out, then youre a p*ssy

it is a cowardly thing to do. because they're not the ones dealing with the wake they leave behind. and the people that are, dont deserve it. all because they used a permanent solution to a temporary problem. :snoop:
